Singer Hayley Williams denounced former President Donald Trump. She urged everyone to vote against him in the 2024 US Presidential elections while performing at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Capital One on September 20, 2024.

Williams' political stance came after her group Paramore performed the track Big Man, Little Dignity from their album This Is Why. The singer said:

"Project 2025 is Donald Trump's playbook for controlling and punishing women, poor people, people of color, and the LGBTQ community. It is time for all Americans to band together and to finally defeat the Trump agenda. And the only way to do that is by confronting him at the polls. Do you want to live in a dictatorship? Well, show up and vote."

Fans took to X to react to Hayley Williams' comments on Donald Trump, with some applauding her for her stance. One X user said:

"Oh she spilled, end that ugly old man again!"
"we all know who everyone is voting for," another user wrote, accompanied by a Kamala Harris gif.
"AS SHE SHOULDDDD," another individual exclaimed.

Meanwhile, other fans were apprehensive of her opinion and questioned her for bringing politics into a concert.

"Why you would interrupt your concert for politics," an X user wrote.
"Oh man :)) why?," a fan chimed in.
"All of them are denouncing trump, which is scary, who is paying them to do so👀," a person alleged.

Hayley Williams and Paramore's performance at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival marked her first festival tour date in the United States. This followed her tour around Europe with Taylor Swift, where she served as one of the openers for the Eras Tour.

All about Hayley Williams and Paramore's performance at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival

Hayley Williams took the stage at the music festival on September 20 alongside her band Paramore. The band's set was inspired by the 80's high energy style.

The 35-year-old singer sported a bright sky-blue dress and a matching bandana. Williams' look was reminiscent of rockstar Debbie Harry, who wore the look in Blondie's 1979 set on The Midnight Special. The singer shared an image of Harry on her Instagram story, confirming the inspiration.

Paramore began their set with the track Hard Times from the 2017 album After Laughter. Hayley Williams performed the track with a mash-up of Blondie's Heart of Glass. The 80s vibe continued throughout their set, as the band next presented a cover of Burning Down The House by Talking Heads.

After a few tracks, Williams took a break to give a shoutout to all the other artists who took part in the festival. She also acknowledged one of her band members for his birthday and mentioned that her grandfather's birthday was coming up on Saturday (September 21).

Paramore then took the stage by storm as they sang a new and revamped version of The Only Exception, originally a part of the 2009 album Brand New Eyes. Then, they sang Big Man, Little Dignity from their Grammy-winning studio album, This is Why. Hayley Williams and Paramore ended their successful set with a rendition of Ain't It Fun from their 2013 eponymous album.

Apart from the American rock ensemble, several other bands and artists performed at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival over the weekend (September 20 and 21). This included Dua Lipa, Victoria Monét, Halsey, Big Sean, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Hozier, Keith Urban, Camila Cabello, and Gwen Stefani, among others. Coldplay's Chris Martin also took the stage for a special performance.
