Spotify and Apple Music- the two most popular music streaming platforms were on the verge of launching their much-awaited features by the end of the year. While Apple Music Replay has already become available on December 3, Wrapped is yet to hit the users.
The Apple Music Replay was released on November 28 last year. The five most streamed songs last year according to the feature were Last Night by Morgan Wallen, Flowers by Miley Cyrus, Kill Bill by SZA, Rich Flex by Drake & 21 Savage, and Snooze by SZA.
While music lovers have been getting impatient with the delay by Spotify, they also seem quite excited and hooked to it. While Wrapped and Apple Music Replay have become popular, they work differently. While Apple Music Replay is updated on a weekly basis, Spotify Wrapped is more of an annual one-time experience.
Due to regular weekly updates on Apple Music, it is reportedly useful for artists to note the music pieces that received more traction and have been played more times. Venice Music, on the other hand, described Wrapped as a highly visual experience.
