Marc Jacobs released their new ad for their fashion line on June 14, where Vert featured wearing a knee-length skort along with a sleeveless top. They are seen holding a green and black purse and matching the look with a durag and bicep-length gloves.

The rapper has worked with Marc Jacobs several times in the past and they recently appeared in one of their purse ads earlier this year.

Netizens have had mixed reactions towards the campaign, with some criticizing Uzi for their fashion sense while some praising them for their choices. As some of the comments were allegedly homoph*bic, some fans defended the rapper in the comments as well.

Lil Uzi Vert served as the model for Marc Jacobs' 40th-anniversary special tote bag

Lil Uzi Vert served as the model for Marc Jacobs's 40th-anniversary special tote bag, which was specially designed by renowned fashion designer Stephen Sprouse. Uzi sported a skort, top, and rain boots from their ready-to-wear collection and was photographed by Nick Newbold and styled by Alastair McKimm.

Speaking about his collaboration with Stephen Sprouse, Jacobs said on his official website:

“I wanted to use Stephen’s graffiti because it meant something to me. Stephen as an artist; Stephen as a New York figure. It had the credibility of [the] street, but also the style of somebody who was a fashion designer."

Jacobs introduced the tote bag back in 2019 and since then it has been sported by several celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and SZA. The limited edition bag modeled by Lil Uzi Vert is a special edition one, described as a "reinterpretation" of Sprouse's previous collaboration with Jacobs. It is priced at $550.

Lil Uzi Vert was previously featured in Jacobs's Spring/Summer campaign, shot by Mario Sorrenti in 2022. In terms of music, Lil Uzi Vert dropped their highly-anticipated album Pink Tape in 2023.

The album featured several collaborations, including those with Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, and Don Toliver. They have also been teasing the release of their next album, Luv is Rage 3 for a while but no release date has been announced for the same.

According to a lawsuit filed on Wednesday, June 12 at a U.S. District Court in Atlanta, Lil Uzi Vert allegedly owes a sum of $500,000 in unpaid bills to a Los Angeles production company called M99 Studios. Vert is among the three defendants named in the lawsuit, alongside their manager Amina Diop and their Georgia-based company Uzivert.

According to M99 Studios, the Philadelphia rapper has allegedly not paid them for their severals related to live tours and festival performances over the last few years, reported Billboard. The Los Angeles-based company specializes in event management and music touring and provides travel and tour support to its clients per their official website.

They have worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry such as SZA, Dua Lipa, and Diplo previously. As per their official website, their current clients include Future, Playboi Carti, Gunna, and 6lack among others.

AJC reported that as per the lawsuit, Lil Uzi Vert has been a client of M99 Studios since 2017. The company stated that the Philadelphia rapper's credit card would allegedly often decline while they were on tour, and the production company was responsible for paying for their expenses. The problem persisted and worsened after 2019 when Diop took over as Vert's manager.

Per AJC, M99 Studios stated that they were expected to continue working despite having multiple unpaid bills and excuses were made for their non-payment. Diop was allegedly aware of the problem and yet relied on them to bear Vert's expenses. The company is reportedly demanding $533,000 along with statutory interest for the unpaid bills, as per AJC. The rapper's representatives are yet to comment on this matter at the time of writing this article.

Lil Uzi recently performed at Coachella in April and is scheduled to perform on the last day of Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 6.
