Colombian superstar Shakira walked off the stage after she noticed cameras seemingly filming up her skirt. In a video making rounds online on Sunday, September 15, the singer could be seen dancing onstage to her upcoming single, Soltera, at LIV Miami.

However, while dancing and hyping up the crowd, she caught a camera seemingly pointing up her skirt. It prompted the singer to stop dancing, wag her finger to reprimand someone, and adjust her dress.

While she proceeded to dance again, she eventually ended the performance and walked off the stage not long after the incident happened. Meanwhile, fans on social media shared their heated reaction after seeing the video.

"People are so disgusting. I understand more and more artists who don't want to play live and/or are setting stricter boundaries with fans," a Reddit user wrote.

More fans commented about the "gross" and "disappointing behavior" captured in the video, with some calling it "predatory."

"That's just beyond gross. Shakira had every right to walk off, no one should have to deal with that kind of disrespect, especially when she's just out there performing her music. People need to learn how to act with basic decency," an X user commented.
"That's truly disappointing behavior. Artists deserve respect and privacy, both on and off stage. It's crucial to ensure a safe environment for everyone," another X user said.
"This isn't about crossing boundaries." The men filming are purposely violating her. It is sexually predatory and violating," a Reddit user wrote.

Other netizens shared their support for the Latin singer and her decision to walk off the stage after the intrusive incident.

"I don't blame her. They continued to do it after she asked them not to," an X user chimed in.
"I don't get why people have to be so friggin creepy, don't blame her for walking off if they were pervin'," a Reddit user said.

Shakira was reportedly filming for a Soltera music video during the incident

Shakira was reportedly filming the music video for her upcoming track, Soltera, during the LIV Miami incident. While the Colombian superstar was seen dancing onstage to the tune of her new song, her rumored Soltera collaborator, Brazilian singer Anitta, was also at the event.

Anitta could be seen asking the Latin singer if she was doing okay after she came down from the stage in the middle of her Soltera performance and into the VIP section. The singer was also seen with Lele Pons, Winnie Harlow, and Danna Paola in pictures and videos from the event.

While fans await her Soltera release, which is expected late in 2024, Shakira has recently released her album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran or Women No Longer Cry. The album dropped on March 22, and it was filled with songs that are reportedly made to empower women.

She was quoted by Variety in February saying that while writing the songs in the album, she was "rebuilding myself," and while she was singing them, her "tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength."
