The country-pop song was released on May 10, 2024, by Post Malone as his official debut in the country music genre. The uptempo song features Morgan Wallen and adopts a pop-infused Nashville sound.

The artists’ vocals are accompanied by a guitar riff and a driving drum pattern. In I Had Some Help, the singers call out their exes for peddling false narratives about their failed relationships and remind them that they had parts to play too.

The lyrics of the second verse from the upbeat song read:

"You thought I'd take the blame for us a-crumbling/ Go 'round like you ain't guilty of somethin'/ Already lost the game that you been runnin'/ Guess it's catchin' up to you, huh/ You think that you're so innocent,"

It continues:

"After all the sh*t you did/ I ain't an angel, you ain't heaven-sent/ Can't wash our hands of this,"

I Had Some Help became the lead single of Post’s first country album F-1 Trillion released on August 16, 2024. The earworm debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and amassed the highest weekly sales and streams since 2020.

It has become the second longest-running number-one song of 2024, maintaining its position non-consecutively for six weeks. It follows Shaboozey's A Bar Song (Tipsy).

The hit track also set a record for debuting at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart at the same time and remaining on top of both charts for its first five weeks.

The Post Malone song also debuted atop the Billboard Global 200 charts and dominated the charts in Canada, Norway, Australia, and Ireland.

The song was nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards and won the People’s Choice Award 2024 for Song of the Year.

I Had Some Help has also been nominated in four categories for the upcoming Country Music Association Awards.

According to Collider, Venom: The Last Dance, which is the third and final installment of the hit movie series, Venom, will be released exclusively in cinemas on October 25, 2024, before its availability on streaming platforms later.
