Notably, Curtis was compared to Perry on another occasion after the former announced the launch of the G-Unit Studios in Louisiana in April this year. It was supposed to feature all the projects that Curtis was officially involved with.

While social media was flooded with multiple reactions to the news, one user wrote that Curtis was trying to become the "Male Tyler Perry." The response was based on the fact that Perry also owns a studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Curtis replied to the same on Instagram where he posted a screenshot of the response and added a mark below the words "Male Tyler Perry." He wrote:

"Lol Yall better stop playing, Tyler will f*ck yall up he ain't no s*cker. Don't get it f*cked up now!"
