As Jay-Z’s s*xual assault lawsuit continues to be in the news, popular rapper Slim Thug took to his Instagram Live on Monday, December 9, 2024, and stated how he thinks that the rapper is not guilty. Claiming how Jay-Z, AKA Shawn Corey Carter, and Diddy, AKA Sean Combs, are being targeted for being “Black billionaires,” Slim Thug said:

"JAY-Z is not guilty. I don't believe that sh*t. We'll continue to see motherf*ckers try to take down Black billionaires. And everybody gonna cheer him on. For allegations. No criminal cases or none of that sh*t."

He then went on and spoke about lawyers and blamed them for extortion, as he said:

“I’ve been telling y’all how them lawyers do. I already know how that s**t go. They try to get money, get motherf**kers to settle because they know public opinion gonna kill them anyway. Whether you’re innocent or not, by the time the blogs get done, you’re gonna to be.”

Slim Thug’s statement siding with Shawn Corey Carter came just two days after the accuser, who prefers to keep her name anonymous, refiled a s*xual assault lawsuit and named Jay-Z as one of the defendants. For the unversed, the lawsuit was initially filed in October 2023 and mentioned only Diddy’s name as the defendant.

However, Jane Doe and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee have now amended the civil lawsuit and are claiming that Jay was also involved in the r*pe of the minor. The duo has alleged that the incident took place when the accuser was only 13 years old.

Jay-Z files motion for dismissal of civil lawsuit: More details explored

A day after an anonymous woman and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, refiled a s*xual assault lawsuit adding Carter as a defendant, the music mogul responded by filing a motion to dismiss the case.

The rapper denied the allegations and requested that the accuser’s identity be revealed, arguing she should not be allowed to remain anonymous. He also accused her attorney, Tony Buzbee, of engaging in "extortion," describing the situation as a "sprawling extortion saga driven by financial motives." The motion filed by the rapper states:

"When Defendant refused to pay and instead took measures to establish his innocence, this unnamed Plaintiff and her self-promoting counsel (whose name has been splashed across headlines and press conferences under auspices of representing her) went to extraordinary lengths to shut down fair defence. But those efforts, too, failed."

Jay-Z also added:

“Because that tactic is inconsistent with a genuine effort to determine the truth or falsity of these allegations—as opposed to an effort to procure a quick, extortionate settlement—Defendant is respectfully seeking either dismissal of the allegations or disclosure of the Plaintiff’s identity. Fair is fair. Defendant Shawn Carter (a/k/a "JAY-Z") has built an impeccable reputation. He has never been accused of, let alone engaged in, any sexual misconduct."

The woman claimed the incident occurred during the afterparty for the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Eager to join the celebrity-filled event, she said she approached Diddy’s driver, who took her to a house where she was served a spike drink, after which the rappers allegedly took advantage of her.

While Jay-Z issued a public statement denying the allegations, Diddy’s lawyers have also refuted the claims. However, Combs continues to remain in prison, even after several bail attempts by his lawyers.
