Sean "Diddy" Combs' former bodyguard, Gene Deal, alleged that the rapper had assaulted Usher when he was a child. In a conversation with The Art of Dialogue posted on YouTube on October 4, 2024, the host asked Gene if he knew what had happened to Usher. The host prefaced the question by noting that he knew that it was a "sensitive" topic.
Gene responded by saying that he had heard about the alleged abuse from a music executive in Harlem, New York. While he didn't disclose the name, Gene did say that the person was currently involved in some programs, adding that they might come forward with the details.
Gene went on to say that he wasn't acquainted with Usher when he heard about the alleged abuse.
"Puff sent this little kid to the hospital," he claimed he was told.
Upon asking what had happened to the kid, who is believed to be Usher, Gene was informed of a serious injury the said child had allegedly suffered. He exclaimed that at the time, he "didn't even have a name for the kid."
However, Gene clarified it was only something he heard, and wasn't certain about how much of it was true. He also seemed to connect the alleged incident with the recent allegations against his former boss. Diddy has been accused of s*xually assaulting children as young as nine years old, apart from several other charges.
"If there's any truth to it...let them find it. Things that I saw, or things that I witnessed or been a part of, I said. I'm not afraid to say what I saw or what I didn't see. A lot of people want to make up sh*t. I don't make up things," Deal added.
Gene Deal refuses to believe Diddy had allegedly assaulted 120 people, as claimed by Tony Buzbee
The Art of Dialogue host asked Gene Deal about the Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee, who claimed that he would represent 120 of Diddy's alleged victims. During a press conference on Tuesday, Tony claimed that he carefully assessed the accusations of over 3000 alleged victims before choosing 60 men and 60 women.
Gene said they opened the "floodgates" with these accusations, adding he was not convinced that Combs had victimized that many people.
"It can't be that much s*xual assault in the world," the former bodyguard said.
After revealing the alleged assault incident involving Usher, Diddy's former bodyguard also seemingly weighed in on the rumors about the rapper's sexuality.
"When I say Puff go in the room with two girls...and another guy, and a rapper, and then, all of a sudden...cousin try to go in the room, I throw him up against the piano. They run out the room with grabbing towels and they naked, they still had two girls in the room," he said.
He also insinuated that Diddy was likely indulging in s*x acts with the two girls rather than the males present in the room. Gene went on to claim that people wanted to make up "a lot of bullsh*t" but that he told it "like it is."
"People wanna make up a lot of bullsh*t and say what they wanna say and flip it the way they wanna flip," he said.
Gene Deal claimed other people coming up with their own set of allegations or rumors about Combs is only for "entertainment." He told The Art of Dialogue that Diddy had a "Rock n' Roll lifestyle" when Gene worked for him, adding the 54-year-old was a "totally different person" back then and not a supposed s*x addict.
