Rapper Pusha T reacted to being name-dropped in Kenrick Lamar's Drake diss track, Euphoria. In his Wednesday, June 19, 2024, interview with Vulture, the DietCoke singer was asked about his reaction to K. Dot's lyrics. He began -

"Incredible. Incredible display. Incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick..."

His brother No Malice, who was also present, interrupted saying Kendrick's verse was a "master class" in rapping.

Earlier this year, Kendrick Lamar and Drizzy were feuding, with each rapper dropping diatribes after another aimed at the other's careers and private lives. This included Drake's Family Matters and The Heart Part 6, and Dot's Meet the Grahams and Euphoria. In the latter, Lamar name-dropped Pusha T in the verse-

"I don’t like you poppin’ sh*t at Pharrell, for him, I inherit the beef/ Yeah, f*ck all that pushin' P, let me see you push a T/ You better off spinnin' again on him, you think about pushin' me/ He's Terrance Thornton, I'm Terrance Crawford, yeah, I'm whoppin' feet."

Pusha, real name Terrence LeVarr Thornton, himself locked horns with the Hotline Bling singer in the mid-2000s when he (Pusha) was feuding with Lil Wayne, Drake's mentor.

As Thornton's comments went viral, netizens were quick to react. With one saying:

Many praised the Bronx-born rapper, stating he understands battle rap. Some even pointed out that he and Dot were the only ones to win against Drake. Here are some comments seen on X:

"Pusha T is a real one and understands Battle Rap," wrote one fan.
"2 Goats. Both are the only people to win against Drake," commented @IG____111.
"Drake’s worst nightmares," added another.

Others pointed out that Pusha misunderstood Lamar's lyrics, stating that the latter was also taking a shot at him. One even pointed out the AI-like tone of his comment.

"What did yall think Pusha would say, he’s here for the violence," commented one.
"He kiiiinda took a shot at Pusha on Euphoria as well," wrote another user.
"Bro answered like an Ai," added another user.

Pusha T's feud with Drake reached a peak when he released The Story of Adidon

Pusha T and Drake began feuding when the Clipse member released his single Exodus 23:1 in 2012 (Thornton dropped Don't F*ck Wit Me a year earlier, which was set to the beat of Drizzy's Dreams Money Can Buy). In the song, he calls out Drake, Lil Wayne, and Wayne's Young Money/Cash Money Entertainment crew, which signed Drizzy in 2009.

Thornton had previously suggested in a 2007 interview with Complex that Young Money had stolen Clipse's style. This prompted Weezy (a.k.a. Lil Wayne) to tweet, "f*k pusha t and anybody that love em."

In 2013, Drake hit back with Tuscan Leather, expressing his loyalty to Weezy, rapping-

"I’m just as famous as my mentor/ But that’s still the boss, don’t get sent for/ Get hype on tracks and jump in front of a bullet you wasn’t meant for."

The duo has continued their feud over the years, taking shots at each other's credibility in the industry. This included Pusha T's H.G.T.V. Freestyle and the Canadian rapper's Two Birds, One Stone. Things took an ugly turn in 2018 when Thornton released The Story of Adidon, where he revealed Drake fathered a secret child. At the time, the move significantly tarnished Drizzy's previously untouchable image.

In a December 2019 interview with Rap Radar, Drake conceded his defeat in the feud, stating it was his "first loss in the competitive sport of rapping." Per Complex (June 2024 article), Pusha T has made it clear he has no plans to reconcile with Drizzy.

Drake has not reacted to the recent development.
