Rappers YG and Saweetie's quarrel took an ugly turn, with police being called to break them off. On Monday, August 12, 2024, TMZ, citing law enforcement officers, reported that neighbors called cops on the couple after things got loud in their Los Angeles home over the weekend.

Per the publication, YG and Saweetie argued over "some cell phone drama," adding that there was no physical contact and the pair was calm after intervention. The police did not elaborate further on the incident, but stated that they did not file any charges against either of the rappers. However, police took a noncriminal report to document the episode.

As news of the incident spread, the internet was quick to react. One user quipped that everyone should leave cell phones alone.

YG and Saweetie confirmed their romance in May 2023 after photos from their vacation in Cabo, Mexico, surfaced

The couple first sparked dating rumors in March 2023 when they were spotted together at a Rolling Loud California music festival. A few days later Saweetie attended YG's all-red birthday party at Melrose Place in Los Angeles. A month later, the pair was spotted dining together at LaLa's restaurant in Indio, CA.

They confirmed their relationship in May 2023 after photos from their vacation in Cabo, Mexico, surfaced online. The photos showed the pair hugging and kissing. Some even included the couple hanging out in a hot tub.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the pair broke up, but the rumors were soon put to rest after YG took to his Instagram to post a video of him and Saweetie at Beyonce's Renaissance Tour. The couple shared more photos of them together over the months.

Saweetie would repost the YG's X post, stating:

"my pieces (kiss emoji)"

Saweetie later appeared on YG and Tyga's set on Rolling Loud California (March 2024), where they professed their love for one another. Before dating YG, Saweetie dated Quavo from 2018 to 2021. The pair was even rumored to be planning to tie the knot together. Following their break-up, a video of them getting into an altercation in an elevator surfaced.

YG was linked with singer Kehlani in 2019. They split after Kehlani accused him of cheating.

Neither YG nor Saweetie publicly reacted to the development.
