On October 25, 2025, Lil Durk, born Durk Devontay Banks, was arrested on charges related to an alleged "Murder-For-Hire plot" targeting rapper Quando Rondo, with authorities citing connections between him and five individuals federally indicted in California.

Durk is being held without bond at Broward County Jail, with prosecutors alleging ties between his OTF record label and the murder of Rondo's cousin, Lul Pab.

Today, October 26, Quando Rondo released a new song, Life Goes On, on streaming platforms. An official music video was also uploaded to his YouTube channel, which quickly surpassed 200,000 views.

"Beefing with the same color on my skin, same color of the hammer / Young n----s 'round here beefing 'bout the color of a bandana / That's why I put my flag down and I picked up a Quran / Because (Life goes on) life goes on" - Quando raps on 'Life Goes On.'

After DJ Akademiks shared a clip of the music video on Instagram, fans and critics flooded the comments, speculating that Life Goes On might be a subtle diss aimed at Lil Durk and his Only The Family associates.

One user remarked on how Quando Rondo seemed to single-handedly "take out" the entire OTF label, referencing him being involved in the shooting that killed King Von and surviving an alleged hit ordered by Lil Durk.

"Quando Rondo really took out OTF by himself. Von and Durk both gone. Who would ever think he would win the war." The user commented.
"This aint gonna do nothing but boost his buzz even more he so underrated," added another.

Rondo releasing a new record a day after Lil Durk's arrest in Florida has led fans to repost the record on X. Many praised Rondo's "mature lyricism" on Life Goes On, where he speaks on themes of loss, gang violence, death, and faith.

"Quando hated for no reason ! He so real and I definitely believe he trying live a better life and see there's no more point of killing and fighting," a fan stated.
"His mentality since that whole shit went down even his music everything is matured," another claimed.

Users were also seen suggesting the possibility of subliminal disses being sent toward Lil Durk and his Grammy-winning song All My Life. Rondo incorporated similar children's choir backing vocals throughout the record.

"That "Life Goes On" reminds me of All My Life," a fan pointed out.
"Quando indirect hit to Lil Durk. Kids in the background, same [as] All My Life," another fan said.

Prosecutors suggest Lil Durk ordered an assassination attempt on Quando Rondo

As per the newly unsealed court documents, prosecutors are alleging that Lil Durk supposedly incentivized a hit on Quando Rondo, also known as Tyquian Bowman, in retaliation for King Von's murder in 2020.

The Feds also claim his record label, OTF, operates as both a hip-hop collective and a criminal street gang that carries out violent acts at the direction of Durk, centering on Rondo's failed assassination attempt.

While Quando survived the 2022 drive-by shooting in Los Angeles, his cousin Lul Pab, who was seated next to him in the Black Cadillac, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

The five men with alleged connections to Durk's OTF were listed in Thursday's unsealed indictment as Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston.

According to the new filings, prosecutors claim Lil Durk ordered the 2022 assassination attempt on Quando, stating:

"At the time of the murder, T.B.," referring to Rondo by his initials, "had a public feud with Banks. The feud stemmed from a Nov. 6, 2020, murder, where an associate of T.B. shot and killed an OTF rapper named Dayvon Bennett aka 'King Von.' Bennett was a member of OTF and Banks' close friend."

Federal authorities allege that the individuals involved in the attempted hit on Quando Rondo used credit cards linked to Lil Durk's OTF Record Label to book flights from Chicago and cover their expenses while in California.

Lil Durk and his legal team have yet to issue a public statement regarding his recent arrest and the multiple allegations against him and his record label.
