Singer-actress Sabrina Carpenter finally spoke out about the online speculations and "bad blood" rumors regarding her friendship with Taylor Swift. These rumors started after she featured in the campaign for SKIMS, the shapewear brand by Kim Kardashian.

While Swift and Kardashian had a "rocky history," Carpenter told Rolling Stone that the Fortnight singer doesn't have an issue with her stint in the SKIMS campaign. In her interview published on June 17, 2024, she noted:

"In that scenario, I've been very, very communicative with her about the situation, and I just love her so much and support her till the end."

Carpenter also mentioned that there is "no weirdness" for her about it. However, she admitted it would likely get people talking. She said:

"[So] it was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that's all they have time to do."

Besides being friends and attending football games together, Carpenter also joined Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour. She did opening acts for the latter during the tour stops in Mexico City, South America, Australia, and Singapore.

In the same interview with Rolling Stone, Sabrina Carpenter gushed about her friend and tourmate, Taylor Swift. She noted:

"I hold her to such a different echelon."

She also dished on her favorite songs from Swift's latest album The Torturned Poets Department. Animatedly talking about her TTPD go-to's, which include Guilty as Sin, she said:

"She always puts out music at a time [when] I didn't realize I needed those songs."

The Please Please Please singer added that she and Swift are "very, very verbal with each other" about their mutual love and admiration for some of the latter's songs.

"She played me But Daddy I Love Him before it came out, and that's also one of my favorites," Sabrina Carpenter added.

With each of their song vying for the number one spot on global hits lists, Taylor Swift's Fortnight and Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso, the two seem to have held each other in high regard professionally and personally. She said this about Swift in the interview:

"I could never compare my life, my career, my trajectory to anything close to what she's done."
