After Diddy AKA Sean Combs was arrested and charged with s*x trafficking, racketeering and many other offences, his attorneys submitted a letter to New York judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky. According to the letter otained by Entertainment Online, the proposed “bail package” included the rapper's properties, and a $50 million bond for his release.
His lawyers argued that from being outside the prison, Diddy would be able to “fight this case in court effectively.” However, the bail was denied to Diddy, as the judge sided with prosecutors and made it clear that the rapper would be spending his time in federal custody.
Furthermore, the bail package also included passports from his sons, sister and mother. It also consisted of his equity in his Miami home, and other documents to prove to the court that Diddy was not a “flight risk.” His lawyers Marc Agnifilo and Teny R. Geragos stated:
“Sean Diddy Combs is demonstrably committed to showing his innocence in Court in the context of this case, and that he should be released, on the conditions proposed, in order to do so."
