Sean "Diddy" Combs' attorneys have responded to the recent s*xual assault allegations placed against Jay-Z in a lawsuit that was refiled on Sunday, December 8.

The hip-hop mogul's lawyers told TMZ that the lawsuits filed by Tony Buzbee were designed to extract payments from celebrities who were afraid of "having lies spread about them" in public, adding:

"This amended complaint and the recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee exposes his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts"

The s*xual assault lawsuit in question was initially filed in October 2024, with only Diddy being named a defendant in it at the time. On Sunday, the lawsuit was amended by Buzbee and included Jay-Z, originally named Shawn Carter, as a second defendant in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit against Jay-Z alleges that the rapper r*ped a minor

Tony Buzbee's amended lawsuit represents an anonymous Jane Doe as the victim, who claims that she was drugged and r*ped by both Diddy and Jay-Z in 2000 when she was only 13. The lawsuit alleges that the act happened at an MTV VMA afterparty after she was drugged.

According to The Guardian, the 13-year-old drank a drink at the afterparty which made her "woozy and lightheaded," and was only able to escape the scene by hitting Diddy in the neck as he assaulted her. Once she was out, she ran to a patrol station, from where she was collected by her father.

Per AllHipHop, the lawsuit also claims that a female celebrity was also present at the scene at the time of the assault. The celebrity stood by and watched as both rappers took turns assaulting the minor.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z has denied all the allegations made in a lawsuit against him. Earlier today, the Holy Grail rapper also issued a statement to address the allegations on the Instagram handle of his record label, Roc Nation.

The 55-year-old started his statement by revealing that his lawyers had received a "demand letter" from Tony Buzbee which, according to him, was a "blackmail attempt".

According to the Snoopy Track rapper, the letter was a calculated move by the attorney, who assumed that Carter would want to settle in the face of the nature of the allegations and the public scrutiny that would follow, which was not the case.

Addressing the attorney, Jay-Z further said:

"No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!"

The Young Forever rapper further implored Buzbee to file a criminal complaint instead of a civil one, given the heinous nature of the alleged crime. He also added that the attorney had a "pattern of these types of theatrics," which Jay-Z was more than prepared to deal with.

The 55-year-old went on to say that his only heartbreak was for his family, especially his children, to whom he would have to explain "the cruelty and greed" of people. The rapper also found it unfair that he needed to try to understand the malice of Buzbee "meant to destroy families and human spirit."

Toward the end of the statement, Jay-Z said:

"You have made a terrible error in judgment thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your moral world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn."

The rapper further added:

"We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable."

He ended the statement by mentioning that he looked forward to showing the attorney just how different he was.

The amended lawsuit comes after Tony Buzbee has filed at least lawsuits against Diddy, accusing him of s*xual misconduct. The hip-hop mogul, who was arrested in New York on September 16, has since been held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Correctional Center. His trial will begin on May 5, 2025.
