On November 9, 2024, X user @AntBrunettii reposted a video of the rapper at a strip club, adding a message that discounted her support of Kamala Harris during the 2024 elections due to her former career. The user wrote:

"Just a reminder, she tried telling millions of people Kamala Harris was the right choice form America."

In response, the Bongos singer posted a screenshot of a New York Post cover featuring Donald Trump's wife, Melania Trump, posing nude. She captioned the post:

"OH."

To be noted, Melanie Trump was a successful model before she married Trump. According to a November 2024 report by Women's Wear Daily, she previously modeled nude for Max magazine in the mid-1990s and later for British GQ’s March 2000 issue.

As Cardi's post went viral, internet users were quick to react. One commented:

Cardi B faces online backlash after endorsing Kamala Harris before elections

Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, a.k.a. Cardi B, has been the target of internet trolls, many of whom are Donald Trump supporters after she endorsed Kamala Harris. On November 1, the singer took to the stage at Harris' rally in Milwaukee to express her support.

According to a November 2024 report by Hot97, Cardi addressed the crowd, accusing Trump of trying to "(hustle) Americans out of their hard-earned money" with his MAGA (Make America Great Again) merchandise. She continued:

"Today it’s your wallet, tomorrow he could be conning you out of your health care rights. Donald Trump talks about how he has ‘concepts of a plan,’ but, America the only concept of a plan he has, is a plan to hustle you."

The singer suggested that Trump was selling "bigotry, misogyny, division, chaos, and confusion" and wanted Americans to hate one another. She later echoed her sentiments in an X post.

As reported by Teen Vogue last week, Cardi B later responded to the harsh criticism she faced online. In a tweet, she asserted that she "did not get paid a dollar for" supporting Harris. She even called out Elon Musk for calling her a "puppet," writing:

"I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their *ss off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you."

She added that Trump did not understand "one thing about the American struggle."

After Trump defeated Harris in the elections, Cardi B tweeted, "We need a Hail Mary." She even praised Harris for her run.

Melania Trump has not publicly reacted to the recent development.
