American singer Emily Armstrong had recently joined Linkin Park as the new female lead singer and soon got compared to Adam Lambert, by fans. The iconic rock band announced on September 5, that Armstrong would be a part of their new album and upcoming tour as well.
They further revealed that she would also be a part of the upcoming projects including upcoming album From Zero, involving members like Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn.
Meanwhile, netizens could not help but react to this recent announcement of Emily being a part of the rock band. Many even compared her to Lambert who joined Queen replacing Freddie Mercury. Here are some of the responses found on X:

Several other netizens took to X to express their opinions on the new addition to the popular rock band. They also shed light on their opinion about Lambert being a part of Queen. A user wrote:

"If you can accept Adam Lambert as QUEEN’s new singer, you can accept Emily as LİNKİN PARK’s new singer as well," commented a user.

For the unversed, Lambert became part of Queen and formed the official collaboration back in 2011. This happened at the MTV Europe Music Awards, where the band was honored with the Global Icon Award.

As mentioned, Linkin Park seemingly surprised their fans with the announcement that Emily Armstrong was going to be their new female lead singer. She would also be a part of several upcoming projects of the group. While a number of netizens, who have been the band's fans, couldn't accept her wholeheartedly. They compared her to Lambert, claiming that even he couldn't fill the shows of Freddie Mercury in Queen.
A few other netizens, however, expressed a different take and mentioned that both Lambert and Armstrong were not supposed to replace Mercury or Chester Bennington respectively. They were just expected to carry the legacy on. In a recent interview with Billboard published on September 5, Armstrong said:
"One Step Closer was the song for me, and I was just like, 'that’s what I want to do. As a singer, I want to be able to scream."
BBC News reported that while Emily Armstrong would be sharing vocals with Mike Shinoda, Colin Brittain would also be joining the band as the new drummer.
