Tina Knowles took to Instagram on December 9 to address her social media activity. Earlier this week, Beyoncé’s mother “liked” an Instagram post of ABC 7 Chicago that detailed the civil lawsuit launched against her son-in-law Jay Z. Following this, netizens reacted online to Knowles’ official statement.

On December 9, 2024, Tina Knowles shared a screenshot of her statement on her Instagram account.

“I was Hacked! As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!” the statement read.

Knowles also wrote in the caption, “Please stop playing with me !!!! “No weapon formed against my family shall prosper.”

This came after Tina Knowles “liked” an ABC 7 Chicago post that read, “Jay Z, Diddy Named In Lawsuit Alleging R*pe Of Girl, 13.”

Internet users took to Instagram to respond to Tina Knowles' latest statement, with one person saying:

Many others went on to opine that Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles, was likely behind “liking” the Instagram post. For those uninitiated, Solange famously attacked Jay Z in an elevator during the 2014 Met Gala afterparty after the latter allegedly cheated on Bey with designer Rachel Roy. Comments online read:

Some internet users also found it hard to believe that Tina Knowles’ account was hacked and claimed that she likely “liked” the social media post on purpose. Comments online read:

More about the allegations against Jay Z as Tina Knowles addresses social media activity

An unidentified woman filed a lawsuit with Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee against Jay Z, accusing him of r*pe. She accused musician and rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexually assaulting her at the age of 13 during an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.

The lawsuit was originally filed in October only against defendant Combs. Later, she went on to refile it to list Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, as a defendant as well.

The anonymous woman claimed that Carter allegedly held her down and r*ped her with Combs following suit as an unnamed female celebrity watched on, as per BBC.

In response to the lawsuit, Carter released an official statement in which he vehemently denied the allegations.

“My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questioned about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people,” the statement read.

Carter also said in his statement:

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”

Combs denied the allegations, similar to Carter. The former remains behind bars as he awaits his trial after facing s*x trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges.
