Alabama Barker dropped the music video for her new song, Vogue, on December 13, featuring special guest stars. The release comes as no surprise, as Kourtney Kardashian shared two selfies two months ago hinting at the music video drop.
The music video, which had amassed over 150,000 views, began with Alabama Barker and Kourtney Kardashian sitting in a limousine wearing sunglasses. The paparazzi then approached the vehicle, prompting the two women to remove their glasses and fan out $100 bills.
Kardashian and Barker then rolled up their tinted car windows and fled the scene. The video transitioned to a runway scene where Barker catwalks and lip-syncs. The 18-year-old showcased a futuristic outfit that included a skin-tight, full-body suit that also covered her hair.
Alabama Barker crooned in the song:
“Pretty b***h, I’m in that mode/ Look like I’m fresh outta Vogue/ I never do what I’m told/ Back of the truck, it’s just me and my h*es/ How b***hes mad ‘cause I’m chose? Really, tell me, how?/ To tell you the truth, I don’t know/ But I know I ain’t goin’ broke.”
Alabama Barker’s dad, drummer Travis Barker, also made a surprise cameo, rocking an unzipped jacket and showing off his chest tattoos.
However, not many seemed pleased with Alabama entering the music scene. Many seemingly criticized the singer. One netizen commented:
"She could've been a mini Avril Lavigne smh"
Several others expressed similar sentiments. Comments online read:
“I’m not even gonna open it,” an X user said.
“It’s sounds even worse than I expected,” a platform user said.
“This is sad,” a netizen commented.

“I’m tired of people saying I don’t know anything about rap music”— Alabama Barker defends her rap career on TikTok
In May, Alabama Barker was forced to address her rap career after facing backlash. This came after she took to TikTok to tease an unreleased song. In a video statement, the teenager said:
“I’m tired of people saying I don’t know anything about rap music, I wasn’t raised around rap music, I wasn’t anything. So let’s take a little field day into my life because you guys know it so well.”
Barker then showed a picture of herself alongside Nicki Minaj, which seemed to be taken in 2011 when her father, Travis, opened for Minaj and Rick Ross during Lil Wayne’s I Am Music II Tour. Alabama Barker said:
“So, the first thing that I’m going to point out is this tour. This tour was when I was about 5 years old. I was 5 years old watching her [Nicki Minaj] set everyday. I knew every lyric.”
Alabama then explained that she was present at the shoot of Rihanna’s Umbrella music video.
Additionally, she shared photos of herself posing alongside Pharrell Williams, Justin Bieber, and Steve Aoki.
At the time of writing this article, Alabama had not addressed the backlash she received for Vogue.
