More about Candace Owens' response to Eminem bashing her in his new album's tracks
Candace Owens didn't waste much time after the new album of the rapper arrived and her names were found in some of the songs. Owens told Entertainment Weekly on July 12, how she felt about the diss and added that she believed that the rapper should have retired by now. Owens said:
"I was honored when Dave Chapelle made fun of me, because Chapelle is in his prime. Grandpa Shady is just depressing to me. Eminem should retire or evolve."
A few hours after the album was launched, she took to her YouTube channel, and called the rapper an "out-of-touch elitist." In the video, Owens further described him as "the white rapper that we all used to listen to when we were prepubescent and we wanted to feel edgy."
While on The TMZ Podcast, she said that the verses made her laugh and further called them lame. Owens commented that Eminem had become "desperate" to "show Black people that he's real." Owens additionally stated:
"He's just aged out. It's time for Eminem to hang it up."
The rapper, in his verses, had also suggested wanting to sleep with Owens. To this, the Conservative commentator said that she wasn't interested.
Candace Owens further stated that she probably would have been flattered by it, when she was younger in college listening to his tracks. According to Owens, in the present situation, it just seemed "sad."
In the podcast, Owens went on to mention the rapper's daughter and suggested that it might have been time for him to "be a grandpa."
Feud between Candace Owens and the rapper
This wasn't the first time that the Conservative commentator Candace Owens and the Houdini rapper found themselves in the middle of a clash. It reportedly began last year in August.
The rapper had just sent a cease-and-desist letter to American business and then-Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, to prevent him from using his music during the campaign.
Owens responded to this action and took to her YouTube channel where she went on criticizing the rapper's age and also questioned his sexuality. She then said,
"Some people also say that when we get older we get grayer. We know that’s true. But for Eminem, the once hardcore rapper, it seems that he is getting older and gayer. Yes, Eminem might be gay."
In the latest album The Death Of Slim Shady Coup de Grâce, several other celebrities have been named, including Caitlyn Jenner and Megan Thee Stallion.
