Britney Spears is once again under the spotlight after she posted two videos of her dancing in a light blue bathing suit on social media. The videos, posted on December 19, 2024, saw the Toxic singer energetically dancing in her abode during her Mexican vacation, spinning in circles and erratically moving her hands.

Spears, who recently claimed she "turned five" on her 43rd birthday on December 2, has sparked increased concern among her 42 million Instagram followers.

One X user claimed that the new videos were "heartbreaking," tweeting:

The ultimate medical drama is HERE

"She needs to be institutionalized for real. This actually breaks my heart because she has no one to advocate for her. It’s just heartbreaking."

Several people agreed with this sentiment, adding it was sad Britney Spears had no one around to help her.

"Poor poor Brittany. For real I wish she had ANYONE around her that ACTUALLY cared about her," one person posted.
"She lost her ability to "dance" as she's repeatedly doing this same tired string of "moves". At this point she'd gain more respect if she were to jump on the TikTok dance trends .. at least that would have less meme value," another user commented.

"Geez, this is so sad! What did they do to her? Lots of drugs or something worse?" someone else questioned.
"The emancipation of Britney Spears was misguided. She should be back in some kind of conservatorship where she is given stability instead of whatever spiraling into the abyss this is," another person wrote.

However, others defended Britney Spears, asking people to leave her alone as she seemed like she was having fun.

"Hey, if this is what makes her happy, let her be," one person commented.
"I think Brittany knows how to dance!" another person added.
"Let Britney be Britney. At least she's not outside shooting people. Plus, dancing keeps a body in shape and she looks fantastic, frankly. Although if she could balance the dancing with a great cause it might fill her idle time," someone else tweeted.

Britney Spears wishes people would "back off" amid rising concerns about her

While people are concerned for Britney Spears following a series of seemingly strange posts on her social media page, the singer is reportedly "brushing off" the concerns, asking people to leave her alone. Following the recent videos, an exclusive source reportedly told InTouch Weekly:

“Britney is brushing off new concerns for her wellbeing and angrily insisting that people back off and leave her alone – even though there are justifiable fears about her erratic behavior that are growing inside her inner circle."

The source claimed that Britney Spears allegedly posted the videos for attention, adding the singer had a circle of friends who constantly reached out to her to offer help.

Furthermore, the source claimed Britney Spears was infuriated by people constantly wondering if she was okay, saying she was finally having fun and doing "whatever the heck" she wanted.

“It’s infuriating to Britney because she swears that she’s totally fine and is just finally doing whatever the heck she wants. She knows some of her fans get her videos and love them and she has fun making them, she doesn’t see what all the fuss is about and wishes people would back off and leave her alone,” the sources said.

Britney Spears was placed into a conservatorship under her father in 2008 following a string of events that left people concerned for her mental health. One such event often talked about to this day is the singer shaving her head in a salon in 2007.

Her conservatorship ended in 2021 after the #FreeBritney movement shed light on the alleged abuse the singer endured.
