Beyoncé's NFL Christmas halftime show, which took place on December 25 at NRG Stadium in her hometown of Houston, was a huge success. The Wrap's December 26 report suggested that Netflix announced in a press statement on the same day that according to Nielsen Data, more than 65 million people in the US watched the pop diva's 15-minute, eight-song medley live.

As per the same outlet, based on average minute audience data, the Ravens versus The Texans game drew 24.3 million people. In contrast, the average minute audience viewership for the Chiefs vs. Steelers game was 24.1 million.

Thanks to the Beyoncé Bowl, the Ravens-Texans game experienced the highest viewership in the United States, according to the same Nielsen Data. It further suggested that in the United States, 5.1 million people between the ages of 18 and 34 watched that game, which is the largest number of viewers the NFL has had for that age group since 2001.

In addition to breaking viewing records for the highly sought-after 18–34 demographic, both games set streaming records for the NFL in the United States.

Once the news went public, people flocked to X to express their opinion under the comment section of @BuzzingPop’s post.

“She’s bigger than every award show,” wrote one user.

Another user said that she ended the award show "5x times," while one fan wrote that it's really great as country music needs greater attention.

“Oh Beyonce, you will always be famous,” another one said.

“She ended them 5x times,” claimed another one.

“That's nice..... Country is a small genre that doesn't get a lot of attention from mainstream viewers,” one X user commented.

More fan reactions followed as the discussion continued.

“Didn’t even know the CMA awards happened damn,” one netizen wrote.

“BOO YAH! TAKE THAT CMAs!” wrote another one.

“She deserves,” another X user said.

Queen Bey and Netflix collaborated on the recent halftime show on Christmas Day. The performance attracted a larger audience than the 2024 CMAs, thanks to visits by some of Cowboy Carter's finest stars, including Brittney Spencer and Shaboozey.

The aforementioned Wrap article claimed that her halftime show more than doubled the 2024 CMAs' viewership, according to the data released just days after the Christmas performance. More precisely, the Beyoncé Bowl received 27 million views, compared to 6.08 million for the 2024 CMAs.

At the NFL game, the star gave her debut performances of songs from her country-and-more album. The event also marked the live premiere of content from Cowboy Carter. The field was packed with musicians, dancers, and an additional parade for the majority of the event.

Furthermore, the outlet again reported that in terms of social media, #BeyoncéBowl surpassed #Christmas as the top trending topic globally on X on Christmas Day. 10 of the top 12 trending topics on X in the US following her performance were Netflix. In other countries, #NFLonNetflix peaked at number 2 in Australia, number 3 in the United Kingdom and Germany, and number 5 in Brazil and France.

This happened 8 years after Beyoncé faced racism during her 2016 CMAs performance with the Dixie Chicks. She briefly avoided country music after some of the celebrities sat down to protest her performance and the racist headlines the following day.

That is, until she published Cowboy Carter in 2024, however, she did not receive a single CMA nomination. Nevertheless, now, her NFL performance surpassed the CMA's viewership.

Beyoncé is yet to comment on the situation.
