Olivia Rodrigo has made it to the headlines after her single Deja Vu was removed from a TikTok video shared by Donald Trump's team. The clip was posted after Trump emerged victorious against Kamala Harris in the US Presidential Election on November 5, 2024.
Olivia's song was used in the video's background while Trump's pictures were displayed. Following the song's removal, the clip shows a message when someone taps on the volume button which says: "This sound isn't available."
The clip has already received 11.6 million views. The news of the song's removal comes after a comment allegedly shared by Olivia Rodrigo below the post shared by Team Trump TikTok on the short video platform went viral on November 7, 2024. A screenshot of the comment was shared through an anonymous account on X (formerly Twitter), and it reads:
"Ew don't use my sound ever again."
According to Daily Mail, the comment was revealed to be fake, and Olivia had TikTok remove the song from the clip. The latest report of the song's removal grabbed a lot of attention on social media and netizens took to the comments section of a tweet shared by the official page of Pop Base to react to the same. A user appreciated her by writing:
"She's honestly such a queen for this."
Similar responses continued to appear below the post.

However, Rodrigo's supporters went on to praise her for the song's removal.

Olivia Rodrigo had shown her support for Kamala Harris before the election
The Temecula, California native has been one of the celebrities who endorsed Kamala Harris this year. The singer reposted a TikTok video on July 23, 2024, on her Instagram Story, where Harris said that she would restore reproductive rights after victory.
Olivia Rodrigo added a few hand-raising emojis to her Instagram story and Kamala was heard saying:
"We who believe in reproductive freedom will stop Donald Trump's extreme abortion bans because we trust women to make decisions about their own body, and not have their government tell them what to do!"
Furthermore, Olivia Rodrigo shared another video on her Instagram page on November 2, 2024, requesting everyone to vote for Kamala Harris. The clip included Rodrigo's conversation with activist Hadley Duvall.
Rodrigo has been an advocate for reproductive health for a long time and has collaborated with the National Network of Abortion Funds to expand access to abortion care in the US. Just like Rodrigo, Duvall has also spoken on abortion rights on different occasions and Olivia wrote below the Instagram video:
"Stories like Hadley's are exactly why this election is so important. A vote for Donald Trump is a vote for a national abortion ban and a vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for reproductive freedom."
