Sabrina Carpenter's recent Redken commercial is packed with NSFW puns and has sparked discussion on the internet. The Espresso songstress recently signed a deal with Redken 5th Avenue NYC to become the brand's first-ever global ambassador.
The 25-year-old singer has conquered the world with her chart-topping hits Please Please Please and Espresso. Her second studio album Short n' Sweet is one of the biggest global hits of the year, debuting at the pinnacle of Billboard 200.
Carpenter and Redken released a commercial for the company's hair-care products, and netizens noticed quite a few suggestive phrases in the 30-second clip.
"I am Sabrina Carpenter, and I know a thing or two about a great bang. In fact, I think we all deserve a better bang. My secret? ABC - Acidic Bonding Concentrate," says Sabrina in the commercial.
After the release of the advertisement, fans immediately took to X (formerly Twitter) to talk about the barrage of adult innuendos mentioned by the songstress.
"She's the queen of se*ual innuendos at this point!" said one fan on X.
"Oh she knows EXACTLY who she is," quipped another fan.
"She just like me fr i love my h*rny queen!" joked one fan on X.
Others remarked about her hair:
"i need her hair stylist"
"Looks like Sabrina Carpenter’s got the scoop on great bangs—both in haircare and in style! I guess she’s mastered the art of the perfect ‘do and the perfect line!" raved another fan on X.
"She got beautiful hair," tweeted one fan.
Fans praised Sabrina Carpenter’s playful partnership with Redken, with one calling her the "modern-day Barbie doll" and others celebrating how well the collaboration fits her image.
"The modern day barbie doll," announced one fan.
"Omg YESSS redken girly we loveeeee," lauded another.
"That sounds like classic Sabrina Carpenter, bringing her personality and humor to the commercial! Her partnership with REDKEN suits her well, considering her iconic hairstyles. The line is playful and fits perfectly with her image," inferred another fan on X.

Netizens once accused Sabrina Carpenter of black fetishization over her 'BBC' comment
Sabrina Carpenter surprised fans on May 26 during her performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2024 in Luton, England. The Espresso maker cleverly abbreviated letters while performing a live rendition of her song Nonsense.
"BBC said I should keep it PG/BBC I wish I had it in me/There's a double meaning if you dig deep," she sang.
While some fans raved about her iconic NSFW pun, others seemingly took offense at the songstress for her alleged hypersexualization of black men.
It was not the first time Sabrina Carpenter put an adult spin on the abbreviation 'BBC.' In fact, the singer had used the same abbreviation during a 2023 performance at a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Session. Similar to May 26, the songstress was performing a live rendition of Nonsense when she sang:
"I'm American, I am not British / So BBC, it stands for something different."
Although BBC initially uploaded an uncut version of the entire performance, they eventually took it down and released an edited version with those lines censored out.
