On Thursday, Mariah the Scientist joined Angel Reese and Latto for a candid interview that took an unexpected turn when her phone rang, leading to an emotional exchange with Young Thug. Following the call, Reese inquired about Mariah and Thug's romance, to which Mariah expressed her deep affection for him, stating that she visits the courthouse simply to breathe the same air as him.

"It's cute, you know. I love him. It is kind of like [long-distance] but I get to see him in court, so I be going to court. Sometimes I fall asleep in there. I just go to breathe his air… I love my man, yes. I love him," Mariah said.

The Atlanta rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, was incarcerated under multiple charges, and a 56-page-long indictment was filed against the rapper on May 9, 2022. As per LA Times, the rapper has been accused of two major counts by Georgia law enforcement, which are:

"conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act for an offence dating to January 2013, and criminal street gang activity for an offence dating to May 2018."

The trial against the RICO criminal case official began on November 27, 2023, but as per NBC, it was put on hiatus after a previous judge was recused. His bail bond was denied several times and is currently being held at the Fulton County Superior Court.
