Camila Cabello strode down the runway of the 'L'Oreal Paris Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025' show on September 23. The singer wore a velvet black mini dress designed by the French label Mugler at the rampwalk event that was a part of the Paris Fashion Week. Her ensemble also included sheer black tights and black stilettos.
Her brown hair was let down with her signature bangs framing her face and her makeup was done by the makeup artist Patrick Ta. The runway also saw other familiar faces like Kendall Jenner and Heidi Klum, among others.
However, netizens felt that Camila Cabello's runway walk left much to be desired, with many pointing out the flaws they perceived. One person claimed she was trying to mimic Argentine singer and model Tini Stoessel, tweeting:
"She wanted her tini stoessel moment so bad."
Many agreed with this sentiment, criticizing Camila Cabello's walk for being inconsistent.
"She looks good but damn the walk wasn’t consistent, maybe Beyoncé could teach," one person tweeted.
"Giving body but why are her hands flapping so much? Is she tryna fly?" another person added.
"WHERE SHE GOING," someone else asked.
"I feel actual pain watching this.... doesnt walk in a straight line, why is she blowing a kiss to the people, the face she makes at the end of the runway???? compared to the model behind her camila just... is nawt it," a user commented.
However, others praised Camila Cabello for her runway performance, adding that she looked amazing.
"Queen she ate," one person tweeted.
"She looks amazing. leave her alone," another person added.
"It wasn't bad. She stumbled a little and the poses at the end were a bit fidget-y, but I liked it," another user wrote.
Camila Cabello previously walked the runway at the 2021 Paris Fashion Week
Before her walk in 2024, Camila Cabello strutted down the runway in front of the Eiffel Tower at the 2021 Paris Fashion Week for Le Defile L'Oreal Paris 2021 Womenswear Spring/Summer 2022 show. The theme for the October 2021 event was women empowerment. It also marked the 50th anniversary of L'Oreal's slogan,
"Because we're worth it."
Camila Cabello joined the 2024 Paris Fashion Week fresh from her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on September 20. The festival at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas saw the singer perform tracks from her latest album C,XOXO, including her hit song I Luv It, followed by a handful of her old hits like Havana and Señorita.
C,XOXO, Camila Cabello's fourth album, was released on June 28. In an interview with the Grammys on September 10, Cabello explained wanting to explore her boldness and authenticity through her new album, saying:
"...As a woman that's been in the industry for so long, you have to build this armour of confidence and bravado. There's something about C,XOXO and when I put on my blue ski mask, I feel like I'm the s**t no matter what." So many female artists have always given me that feeling, like the work Beyoncé puts out. C,XOXO is both of those — being vulnerable and channelling that monster and bravado in you that has a bit more teeth."
The 14-track LP featured artists like Lil Nas X, Playboi Carti and Drake, among others. A special variant titled 'Magic City Edition', including four brand-new tracks, came out on September 6.
