In a recent development that has stirred discussions in the hip-hop community, rapper Ralo labeled Boosie BadAzz's decision to link up with Yo Gotti as insensitive.
On October 1, 2024, Ralo posted on X, sharing a video clip showing Boosie BadAzz expressing gratitude to Yo Gotti for supporting his mother during Boosie's incarceration.
In his tweet, Ralo suggested that Boosie should have waited before collaborating with Yo Gotti out of respect for Young Dolph's family, who are still mourning his tragic death.
According to reports by Hot New Hip Hop, Yo Gotti's family has allegedly been linked to Young Dolph's assassination, adding further sensitivity to the timing of this collaboration —
"Boosie should've at least let Dolph family grieve from the trail," Ralo tweeted.
Ralo and Boosie BadAzz have been involved in a longstanding feud, most notably since June 2023. The two have frequently taken jabs at each other, sparking ongoing online discussions and further fueling tensions between them.
Ralo condemns Boosie BadAzz's meeting with Yo Gotti following Dolph's death
On Tuesday, Ralo took to X and called about Boosie for pairing up with Yo Gotti. In his tweet, he expressed strong disapproval and frustration following the partnership —
"before he did this lame as sh*t… and idc what nobody say‼️," Ralo added.
The video clip shows Boosie BadAzz wearing a pink jacket with grey pants and Yo Gotti in all-black attire with heavy jewelry. The duo can be seen hugging each other.
Also, Boosie captioned the post reflecting on the early 2000s when he was locked up after East Baton Rouge sheriff's deputies found marijuana and a Glock in his car in October 2008, and Yo Gotti took care of his mother during the time —
"CONGRATULATIONS 🔥‼️I SEEN YO COME UP ⬆️ @yogotti ME N DIS N***A GO WAY BACK EARLY 2000's n he looked out for MOMS WHEN I WAS GONE," Boosie wrote.
This is not the first time Ralo and Boosie BadAzz have been involved in an online feud. Most recently, on September 3, 2024, Ralo, during an Instagram live, took a jab at Boosie and suggested that he does not want to be still performing or pursuing a rap career at an older age, like Boosie BadAz —
"I ain't tryna be on stage like Boosie rapping when he 40, 50 years old," Ralo said.
In response, Boosie took to his X account, and in a since-deleted tweet, Boosie suggested that he is happy about making $150k every weekend and would rather be happy about it. He also noted that Ralo never had a career and will never have one in hip hop industry —
"I HAVE NOT SPOKE ON YOU IN YEARS @ralofamgoon. U STILL HURT BY WHAT U DID WHAT U DID, lol. I'M GRATEFUL THAT I'M STILL MAKING 150k A WEEKEND N SELLING OUT SHOWS. U DON'T HAVE A RAP CAREER N WILL NEVER HAVE ONE," Boosie wrote.
In response, Ralo called Boosie an "auntie." The feud between the two started in June 2023 when Boosie BadAzz, at The Breakfast Club radio podcast, called Ralo a "snitch."
To this, Ralo took to his X and called Boosie a "gossiping grandma" and a "drunk auntie."
Boosie has not yet responded to Ralo's tweet of disapproval of the collaboration with Yo Gotti.
Ralo's concern with the meeting stems from the assassination of Young Dolph, who was killed on November 17, 2021. According to The Economic Times, Young Dolph was attending a family member's funeral in Memphis when he was fatally shot inside Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies on Airways Boulevard in Memphis.
Reports suggest that a $100,000 bounty was allegedly offered to a man named Justin Johnson by Big Jook, Yo Gotti's brother. Prosecutors, including Paul Hagerman, have pointed to CCTV footage, call records, and other evidence that strongly indicate Johnson as the suspected killer. The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
