Shawn Mendes took to his social media accounts to share a teaser for what is likely his upcoming album. The musician last released his Wonder album in 2020. Fans have since taken to the internet to express excitement over the possibility of new music.
The 39-second-long clip uploaded online showcased a black-and-white film that seemed to have been taken by the mountains. The teaser started off with a person lying with their head down on grass. One could then see Shawn Mendes helping an unidentified person seat themselves on a children’s bicycle. Music instruments were also seen in the clip, along with several moments of the singer spending time in nature.
The short video was accompanied by no vocals but eerie yet melodious background music.

The 25-year-old did not share any announcements alongside the video. Many believe that it is a teaser for his fifth studio album, as he has hinted about its release multiple times.
In May, he told fans who caught him in the streets that he had just finished recording the unnamed album. While taking a picture with a fan, he said,
“It’s coming soon. Actually, we just finished it like 10 minutes ago.”
This left fans convinced that the teaser drop was likely related to his upcoming album.
