The Great Britain Olympics team had 327 competing athletes and was the third team with the most medals at the just concluded games, after the United States and China. In the traditional video message posted by the British Royals on X, Snoop Dogg was seen decked out in a USA-themed blazer, featuring a sectioned color design— with blue on the left, and white, red, and blue on the right.

The Doggystyle hitmaker paired the crisp blazer set with a scarf, also in USA-themed color blocking. He started the video by greeting everyone in his distinctive voice. His cameo appearance was followed by the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, congratulating Team GB. Then her husband, Prince William, commended the team for their achievements and being a source of inspiration.

The video also featured soccer legend, David Beckham, and British presenter Emma Willis, amongst others, who appreciated the players' efforts. Snoop Dogg ended the video by saying:

"Thank you Great Britain. On behalf of Big Snoop Dogg, the Prince and his lovely wife.”

After the congratulatory video feature, Snoop joined other stars including Billie Eilish, H.E.R, Tom Cruise, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the closing ceremony and the patriotic baton passing ahead of the 2028 Olympics, scheduled to be held in Los Angeles, USA.

The 51-year-old hip-hop legend also performed some of his hit songs, alongside Dr. Dre. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, fans and media were greeted with many clips of Snoop Dogg and his adventures at the games.

When the rapper was asked about the reason for his passion and enthusiasm for the Olympics, he said in an interview with NBC on August 12, 2024:

"I love what I do. Like, it's not a job. I don't do it for money or fame. I do it for love. I love what I do, and I feel like that's what I get back. I get more love than anything from the things that I've done, the things I continue to do. It feels good."

Fans can expect to see more of Snoop Dogg as he makes his coaching debut on the 26th season of The Voice, slated to premiere on September 23, 2024.
