A long-standing rumor on social media claims that Beyoncé has abducted pop sensation Sia and is holding her captive in a hidden hideaway while pressuring her to write songs. Even though the allegations originated long ago in Brazil, they recently began regaining popularity.

Additionally, the hashtag #SaveSia is also trending on X, where thousands of users are deciphering Sia's tweets to look for hidden pleas for assistance. Some are even tweeting the F.B.I. to ask for help.

However, it's still unclear how it all began. According to a July 2016 Buzzfeed article, it might have begun with Sia's 2015 interview with Rolling Stones. In the interview, Sia referred to her collaboration with Beyoncé as a "writing camp."

Meanwhile, X user @crulsmmr posted a screenshot of a post on October 1 and alleged the same, garnering mixed reactions from the netizens. Some tagged the post as fake and said that Americans shouldn't "smoke," whereas others called out to rescue Sia.

“Some Americans should stop what they are smoking,” commented one user.

Other netizens also shared a similar sentiment and refused to believe the allegations.

“This Level of dissection not even FBIs can Reach,” one user joked.
“Beyounce is a good person don't gas light me,” one fan tweeted.
“I'm not believing till I see real evidence,” wrote one X user.

On the other hand, some netizens believed the post and showed sympathy towards Sia for allegedly getting kidnapped by Beyoncé.

“Maybe we should have listened more closely,” said one user.
“The fear in her voice…” said another user.
“She was just trying to survive," wrote another one.
“It’s ok mama…she’ll be behind bars soon,” affirmatively said another one.

The conspiracy theory about Beyoncé allegedly kidnapping Sia spread like wildfire

According to the theory, Beyoncé abducted Sia and is holding her captive in a "cativeiro," which is a term from Brazil that refers to a particular type of location where abduction victims are kept, such as a bunker, secret room, or dungeon.

People are using the #SaveSia hashtag and are continuously scanning Sia's tweets for hidden clues that might hint at whether or not she's attempting to request assistance. Some have even speculated that the singer wears wigs as a mask to cover the alleged bruises she has received from Beyoncé.

According to the same July 2016 Buzzfeed story about Sia's 2015 Rolling Stones interview, in which she referred to working with Beyoncé as a "writing camp," may have served as the catalyst.

During the same interview, she also claimed that the Cowboy Carter vocalist is extremely like Frankenstein when it comes to the tunes. It means that she takes bits and pieces of songs from different songwriters and requests to hear them together.

"She visits each room and will contribute and let us know what she’s feeling and what she’s not feeling. Lyrically, melodically, aonnything. She’s very Frankenstein when she comes to songs. She’ll say, ‘I like the verse from that. I like the pre-chorus from that. Can you try mixing it with that?’” Sia shared about the singer.

Sia also mentioned that she was thrilled to get back a few of her 25 songs from the TEXAS HOLD 'EM singer that she had originally put on hold.

Fans are also scanning all the "proof" used to support the claims about Sia, including close-ups of Sia's eyes that have Beyoncé photoshopped in and the tweet "Hope Everyone Likes Pancakes/H.E.L.P."

Though there has been much discussion on the internet regarding this purported kidnapping, neither Beyoncé nor Sia have responded as of yet.
