On January 24, Travis Scott released his highly-anticipated single 4x4, following teasers at WWE Raw. He also shared the Gabriel Moses-directed music video.

The original 4x4 was leaked in 2020 and is believed to have been recorded during Travis' Days Before Rodeo era. Critics noted that while the song showed a new musical style and experimentation, it felt less polished than his other releases. Netizens have since taken to social media to react to the same.

In response to the same, Travis Scott said on X on January 24 while dropping the song- “I fixed the mix bruh lol”

In the music video for the 4x4 single, Travis Scott can be seen on the back of a military truck with a fleet of bodyguards. He then performed with a marching band, which appeared to be a homage to the College Football Championship Halftime Show, where Scott performed the song for the first time, back on January 20.

While reacting to the song, one netizen said:

Several others expressed excitement over the music drop and also shared their opinion on the initial song, gaining criticism. Comments online read:

“Thank you for fixing it,” another internet user said.
“Doing 20 mixes before the final version is a lifestyle fr,” a netizen said.

Per multiple reports, Travis Scott also announced that 100% of the net proceeds from the special merchandise of the track would be donated to Los Angeles’ first responders-the Direct Relief’s California Wildfire Response Fund, in light of the recent wildfires. Meanwhile, some other reactions read:

“In Travis we trust,” an X user said.
“You’re the greatest of all time we love you,” another netizen said.
“Thanks. Much better now,” a platform user said.

The song also stands as the theme song for WWE’s Monday Night Raw, as mentioned above. As the music video for the single hints the same, the visuals also alternate between black and white footage and in-color shots where Scott can be seen stepping into the WWE rink. Some other reactions to the song drop read:

“So much better now,” an X user said.
“Why was it so bad,” another internet user said.
