On October 7, American rapper and singer Lizzo (aka Melissa Viviane Jefferson) posted an update on her weight loss journey. The post also featured a product haul from her shapewear brand, Yitty.

In the video, the Truth Hurts artist is seen wearing white track pants and hoodies and showing off her body transformation. She also puts on hooped earrings and ends the 32-second video by drinking from a red water bottle.

The video caused quite a stir on X as fans took to the comment section to pen down their opinions. The internet was divided, with some criticizing her transformation and others encouraging her to keep up the good work. One user on X wrote:

"Still waiting for the transformation."

Several other fans expressed their opinions on the social media platform.

"where's the transformation video? is there a part 2?" opined another.
"Lizzo I wasn’t familiar with your game," tweeted another fan on X.

Many fans, meanwhile, supported her journey and encouraged Lizzo to keep working at it.

"Weird.. I'm actually glad admit this transformation . She can show overly obese people that they too can lose weight with some work. I'm never "like" Lizzo but I sure can respect what she is doing," wrote a fan
"If you don’t have anything nice to say , don’t say it at all," opined another.
"Proud she is losing weight but kind of a hypocrite about body positivity," declared another user on X.

Last month (September 20), Lizzo took to Instagram to address accusations of the rapper using Ozempic. Ozempic is a drug used to treat type 2 diabetes that is often used by many to induce quick weight loss.

In the video, she seemed to celebrate the fact that she finally got Ozempic allegations, i.e., her work at the gym was showing visible results.

"When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," Lizzo wrote over a video of her lip syncing to the words "like a reward."

On March 29, Lizzo took to Instagram to declare "I QUIT" after expressing her frustration with the negative energy and online harassment she was facing. According to the songstress, people didn't need her music anymore.

The singer also opened up about getting body-shamed by everyone on social media.

“I’m getting tired of putting up with being dragged by everyone in my life and on the Internet. All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it. But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it," the rapper declared.

She continued:

"Being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name. I didn’t sign up for this sh*t. I QUIT."

Many fans construed the words "I QUIT" as an indication of the rapper quitting music forever. However, the rapper posted another Instagram update on April 2, clarifying her intentions.

According to her, "I QUIT" meant not giving attention to any form of negative energy on social media. Clad in aquamarine attire, she posted another video on Instagram, saying:

“I just need to clarify — when I say I quit, I mean, I quit giving any negative energy attention. What I’m not gonna quit is the joy of my life, which is making music, which is connecting with people.”

Lizzo ended the message on a positive note, reassuring fans that despite the criticism, she would continue making music.
