Beyonce brought in daughter Blue Ivy on stage during her NFL halftime performance on Christmas
On December 25, Beyonce performed during the halftime of the Ravens-Texans NFL game, which also featured an appearance of her 12-year-old eldest daughter, Blue Ivy.
Blue Ivy appeared on stage during the final moments of the halftime show, when Beyonce performed Texas Hold 'Em, one of her biggest hits from her latest studio album, Cowboy Carter. Queen B also changed her lyrics a little to include a reference to Blue Ivy, as she sang:
"Then spin me in the middle, Blue, I can't read your mind."
The mother-daughter duo also performed a line dance before Beyonce finally ended her performance with the display of the word BANG as she floated up on a platform.
Meanwhile, Beyonce's halftime performance began as she entered the stage in a white-feathered gown while riding a horse.
The first track she performed was 16 Carriages. This was followed by Queen B walking through the back of the stadium in her signature red and blue sash from the cover of her latest studio album, Cowboy Carter. Beyonce performed Blackbird, a rendition of The Beatles' iconic number of the same name which was a part of Cowboy Carter.
The next track on the list was Ya Ya, as the singer sported a dazzling bodysuit and chaps. Shortly after, lights projected the words 'My House' on the stands, leading to more excitement in the crowd. Queen B followed it up by performing Riverdance, which also featured a special appearance from Shaboozey. The latter had featured in Beyonce's track Sweet Honey Buckiin from Cowboy Carter.
Another special appearance that surprised the crowd was by Post Malone, who sang Levii's Jeans before the Grammy-winning artist took over once again with the track Jolene. The final segment featured Queen B and Blue Ivy before bidding farewell to the NFL crowd.
The NFL halftime performance marked the live debut of multiple tracks from the pop star's 2024 album, Cowboy Carter. The performance was also a part of Netflix's first NFL Christmas Gameday.
According to the streaming platform's agreement with the NFL, Bey's performance, the Ravens-Texans game, and the Chiefs-Steelers game were available to watch for three hours after the end of their livestream. On December 26, Netflix also announced that Bey's halftime performance will be available to watch as a standalone special on their platform soon.
The 2024 NFL halftime time performance was not the first time Queen B headlined a halftime show. The Single Ladies singer headlined the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime show, where she reunited with her former band, Destiny's Child, onstage. She also featured in a surprise appearance alongside Coldplay in the 2016 Superbowl performance to sing Formations.
