YouTuber Tasha K is at the center of a media storm for her cryptic response to a defamation lawsuit filed against her by rapper Soulja Boy.

On July 18, 2024, the YouTube personality, currently on her UnWine with Tasha K tour, posted on her Instagram that whoever wants to meet her can book tickets. She further noted that her lawyers will be there as well. This post by Tasha garnered significant attention, with many applauding her for her calm response.

"My wine, gossip & comedy shows start promptly at 7:30pm est. Be sure to purchase a ticket process server and I will make sure that my security team lets you through to serve me without any hassle," Tasha wrote.

This comes after rapper Soulja Boy filed a lawsuit against Tasha for defaming him on her show. He accused Tasha of spreading a rumor that he had an intimate moment with William the Baddest.

Fans on Instagram quickly responded to her post and reacted to Tasha's response. One comment suggests that Tasha has remained composed amid the lawsuit.

However, some individuals were not amused by her response and suggested that the recurring lawsuits could harm her financial and mental well-being. In 2019, Tasha K was sued by Cardi B for defamation. The Bodak Yellow rapper accused Tasha of salacious lies about drug use, STDs, and pr*stitution. In 2022, the lawsuit was settled, and Cardi B won the case and was awarded $4 million.

Tasha has yet to issue an official response to the lawsuit. Despite the public's keen interest and the widespread discussions surrounding the case, her legal team has not issued a formal statement addressing Soulja Boy's allegations.

Soulja Boy takes legal action against YouTuber Tasha K for defamation

On May 16, 2024, Tasha K invited a musical artist, William The Baddest, on her podcast Tell All and had a conversation with him. During the discussion, William made a statement involving Soulja Boy and alleged that he had a s*xual encounter with the latter.

The video clip is no longer available on Tasha's YouTube channel. However, according to Billboard, the legal documents include a statement from William, which reads as follows.

"So I walked over there, I get on my knee, he's sitting on the edge of his bed. I started giving him o**l, it's a big thang, and it grew, you know, to the left," William said.

According to Billboard, as soon as the interview went online, Soulja Boy claimed that William had been "harassing him." Moreover, on July 16, 2024, the rapper filed a lawsuit for $16 million against Tasha K and William The Baddest, which suggested that the statements were false and caused "actual reputational and professional harm" to the rapper.

"Plaintiff has suffered actual reputational and professional harm as a result of defendants maliciously targeting plaintiff and seeking to sabotage his careers," the rapper's lawyer stated.

The legal team of the rapper, who sent a desist letter to Tasha and William and asked them to delete their statement, further asserted that, even if all statements or video clips are removed, Soulja Boy's reputation may suffer enduring damage as the content and its associated date remain permanently accessible on the web.

"Although the publications may be deleted, the plaintiff will forever be damaged by the publications never being removed from the web," the lawyer added.

According to Billboard, William The Baddest claimed on July 18, 2024, that his statements were factual and he stood by his claims. The further proceedings of the lawsuit remain unknown for now.

Tasha's UnWine with Tasha K tour will end on December 8, 2024, in Austin, Texas.
