On Tuesday, Taylor Swift thanked her fans for making The Tortured Poets Department Apple Music's top-streamed album of 2024. Apple Music released its year-end charts on December 3, naming the superstar the top-streamed artist and her latest album, TTPD, the top-streamed album.

After the results came out, the singer-songwriter took to her Instagram stories to share her excitement along with gratitude toward her fans.

Reposting Apple Music's graphics of TTPD: The Anthology as the "Top Album" for "Replay '24," Taylor Swift wrote:

"Ahhhhhh thank you for listening to my music and TTPD so much!!!! You, the fans, made The Tortured Poets Department the TOP STREAMED ALBUM of The Year on @applemusic!!! You guys snagged me that Top Streamed Artist spot too."

She ended her message to her fans with a playful tongue-out emoji.

The news comes as little surprise as The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th studio album, was a record-breaking one. It spent 15 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 chart, and its opening track, Fortnight, stayed at the peak of the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. It outperformed all of Taylor Swift's past albums in terms of Billboard charts and also became certified 6x Platinum.

Elsewhere on Apple Music's Replay '24 was Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us, at No. 1 on the 'Top Songs of 2024: Global list.' Swift's anthem Cruel Summer also appeared on the chart at No. 5, and her and Post Malone's Fortnight was at No. 20.

More of Swift's songs reached the Top 100 list of Replay '24, including Lover at #34, Anti-Hero at #47, Down Bad at #78, You Need to Calm Down at #81, and I Can Do It With a Broken Heart at #82.

Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department album is now certified 6x Platinum

Taylor Swift announced her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, at the 2024 Grammys stage in February, while accepting the Pop Vocal Album award for Midnights. Since then, the album had been highly anticipated, until it came out on April 19, and it only achieved more milestones after the release.

TTPD went Platinum in its second week, and seven months after the sprawling 31-track LP came out, it has now earned its sixth Platinum certificate. RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) announced on Monday, December 2, via Instagram that The Tortured Poets Department is certified 6x Platinum. The organization congratulated Swift in their post, writing in the caption:

"She can do it with a broken heart."

TTPD's platinum certificates join her other previous album's millions of certified units sold. According to RIAA, her Fearless album is Diamond, 1989 is 9x Platinum, Taylor Swift is 7x Platinum, Red is 7x Platinum, Speak Now is 6x Platinum, and both Reputation and Lover are 3x Platinum.

Her other albums, Folklore and Midnights, have double Platinum certifications, and Evermore is certified Platinum.

Meanwhile, Swift has been busy with The Eras Tour, which kicked off on March 17, 2023, and will officially end in Vancouver on December 8, 2024.
