Some users commented on Swift being the rightful heir to the title.

"Taylor Swift deserves to be top. Am I right swifites," commented one X user.
"I never realized how powerful taylor swift music was until this year," replied another.

Meanwhile, others have expressed their disappointment, vouching for Kendrick Lamar or Drake to win Spotify's Top Artist this year.

"It’s gonna be Kendrick Lamar it that simple," posted a third user.
"If Taylor Swift’s *trashcan emoji* music wins it over The Weeknd or Bad Bunny, our generation is doomed," commented a fourth user.
"All my money on Drake," replied a fifth user.
"if it’s taylor swift im deactivating," added a sixth user.

Aside from Taylor Swift, 4% of the bettors have picked Drake, 3.8% have chosen Bad Bunny, and 3.1% have gone with The Weeknd.

Currently in its eighth year, Spotify Wrapped was first introduced in 2016 as a marketing campaign to offer users a recap of their annual music trends.

Spotify has already started dropping hints about the release of Wrapped 2024

Spotify released the first teaser of Wrapped 2024 on Wednesday, November 27, featuring the platform's logo designed in various looks. Some of them were easily recognizable, themed on Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso, Easter eggs from Swift's Reputation, and the underwater vibe of Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft.

The post quickly went viral on X, amassing over 12 million views, 57K likes, and 8K shares. On the same day, the platform addressed an issue users faced with their annual recap report last year. In 2023, many users complained about not getting their Wrapped report at all. Per the Tech Radar, this complication could have been the result of the overloaded servers.

To ensure users get the most out of their Wrapped experience, Spotify has recommended that they update their apps ahead of the release. For those who don't have the auto-update feature turned on, it is advisable to manually check for updates in the Play Store or App Store (depending on whether they use Apple or Android).

In case you see others posting about their 2024 Wrapped but yours is nowhere to be found, even after the update, try reinstalling the app. You can also try typing "spotify:datastories:wrapped" or "2024 Wrapped" in the app's search bar.

People who are betting on Taylor Swift winning the title of Top Artist on Spotify's Wrapped 2024 have a good reason to believe so. This year has been significant for the Cruel Summer singer, who is still on her Eras Tour.

Swift dropped her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poet Department, in April, which topped the Billboard 200 chart for 15 weeks, marking a career best for her.

Her tenth album, Midnights, also won the Grammy for Album of the Year this year, making the Karma singer the most prolific award winner, with four Grammys to date.

Additionally, her ongoing Eras Tour has spanned five continents and broken several records. With over 149 shows, Swift's Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour of all time and the first-ever tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue.

TechRadar predicts that Wrapped 2024 can roll out on December 4. However, Spotify hasn't announced any confirmed date for the release as of now.
