On August 12, 2024, Lil Woody, whose real name is Kenneth Copeland, arrived at the Fulton County courtroom to testify in the ongoing YSL RICO case. His testimony was filled with memorable moments, including his rants inside the courtroom and his picture with Judge Ural Glanville's court reporter, Ms. Weaver.

Judge Glanville was recused from the case following accusations of secretly meeting with prosecutors and a star witness.

Lil Woody's photo with Ms. Weaver, which went viral on social media, was met with hilarious responses, with one person tweeting:

Some commented on Lil Woody's pose in the picture, calling it crazy.

"Hand around waist is crazy," one person tweeted.
"Bout to slide in her dm," another person added.
"Playing in Judge Glanville's face...Lol! Woody: I took your...nevermind," someone else wrote.
"Why tf did he upload this," another user said.

Others provided context for the picture, adding they liked Ms. Weaver's vibe.

"The context is woody was moved from Fulton after he plead the 5th to delkab county. Put in dorm alone with no running water tv, or phone. He came to court hungry, thirsty and distressed almost passed out on the stand. Weaver got him Gatorade and helped him. They bonded from that," one person noted.
"Idk about you guys but i like her little swag. I’d beat," another person added.
"Why he look mad excited," a user questioned.

"I care about the truth" — Lil Woody during his testimony

Lil Woody was considered one of the key witnesses in the 56-count RICO case against Young Thug and five other defendants. The sprawling case has been on trial since 2022, with prosecutors arguing that YSL was a criminal organization that had a hand in racketeering, drugs, and gang violence.

The defense stated that YSL was a record label with no gang affiliations. The case was marred with various setbacks, including removing and recusing judges. Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker is the third judge to preside over the case. She took over the case from Judge Shukura Ingram, who was appointed after Judge Glanville was recused.

The YSL RICO case trial started after a two-month hiatus. At the trial on August 12, Lil Woody was one of the witnesses called to testify. In his testimony, Woody claimed his main goal was to tell the truth and not protect Young Thug.

"It may seem like I'm trying to help Thug out. I'm not trying to help him out. I don't care nothing about him or what he got going on. I care about the truth. The truth was I was going through a phase in my life, and I have put all the blame on him. I don't know what he did. I don't know what he got going on. But y'all got me on this stand, and I'm telling the God-honest truth," he said.

Lil Woody also admitted to lying to the police to protect himself, asking the jurors to disregard his earlier testimony. At the trial, he repeatedly answered the prosecutor's questions with, "I don't recall." The prosecutors used his 2015 interviews with the police to build their case against Young Thug and YSL.

Lil Woody was granted immunity from prosecution in return for his testimony. The YSL RICO case is currently ongoing, and Copeland's questioning will continue on August 13, 2024.
