"How does that make sense to anybody"— Tupac Shakur crime scene investigator raises suspicions about Diddy and others being unharmed in 1994 shooting

Tupac Shakur's crime scene investigator, Sheryl McCollum, recently made comments regarding the rapper's 1996 murder and a previous shooting in 1994.

In an interview with NewsNation on October 4, 2024, McCollum discussed the 1994 shooting that occurred during a robbery at Quad Studios in Times Square, New York, when Tupac Shakur was shot multiple times. At the time, Sean "Diddy" Combs was reportedly in the studio with about 40 other people, none of whom were harmed.

McCollum questioned the nature of the shooting, noting:

"You ain't gotta shoot somebody five times to take their jewelry and their money...Sean 'Puffy' Combs and his entourage of 40? Unharmed. Unthreatened. How does that make sense to anybody that one person is going to be robbed and not the other 40? Who would have had more money and jewelry? Forty."

During the interview, McCollum suggested that the origins of Tupac's tragic 1996 murder may be traced back to the 1994 shooting, seemingly indicating a possible connection between the two incidents.

In 1996, Tupac Shakur was killed in a drive-by shooting after leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Sheryl McCollum drew parallels between both incidents:

"Both times that Tupac Shakur is shot, he is trapped in something...He's trapped in an elevator, and then he's trapped in a car. There is literally nowhere to run."

Another similarity, according to McCollum, is the lack of video evidence for both incidents.

"Both scenes though, ironically, don't have video footage," she said. "To me, this signifies somebody close to him knows his whereabouts on that day, that time, and that location. That to me, shrinks your suspect pool pretty good. Only a handful of people would have known where he was on both of those days."

While Combs and Biggie denied any ties to Tupac's death, Biggie himself was murdered in 1997, and his case also remains unsolved.

Tupac Shakur's family hires lawyer to investigate Diddy's possible involvement in 1996 shooting

Sheryl McCollum's statement comes after Page Six reported in July that Tupac Shakur's family is reportedly looking to file a wrongful death lawsuit against Combs.

"People from Diddy's past are coming forward and providing info," an insider told the publication.

The family has reportedly hired high-profile lawyer Alex Spiro, known for working with Elon Musk and Megan Thee Stallion, to investigate the possible connection between Diddy and Tupac Shakur's death.

In September 2023, Duane "Keefe D" Davis, a former gang leader, was charged in connection with Tupac Shakur's murder. In a 2009 interview with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Davis alleged that Combs had put a $1 million hit on the rapper. His trial is set to begin in March 2025. Despite these allegations, Diddy has consistently denied any involvement in the incident.

Back in 2008, following a report from the Los Angeles Times that implicated that Diddy's associates were allegedly responsible for the 1994 attack, Combs issued a public statement:

"The story is a lie. It is beyond ridiculous and completely false. Neither the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during, or after it happened. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story."

The ongoing speculations have gained further momentum as Diddy now faces charges of racketeering and s*x trafficking. The federal indictment, filed last month, accuses Combs of leading a massive criminal operation over the past few decades. To date, 12 victims have filed civil s*xual abuse cases against him.

As of now, the only person charged with Tupac's death is Duane "Keefe D" Davis, whose trial is set for 2025. Meanwhile, the music community continues to look for answers, and any involvement of Diddy remains speculative at this point, as the legal battles and investigations unfold.
