On September 24, 2024, the official X account of First We Feast posted a teaser clip of the 34-year-old covering her face with an alien mask, suggesting that she will be appearing on Hot Ones this week.
The singer is styled in a sleek black bralette, complemented by a black and gray cargo jacket. Minimalist jewelry enhances her look, while the standout feature is the skin-toned alien mask, characterized by its distinctive large alien-like eyes and two prominent antennas.

The video, which features Solána Imani Rowe, or SZA, as a guest on the show, has sparked a flurry of reactions on X, with many viewers expressing confusion over the unusual choice of disguise. One user indicated that the woman shown in the clip is not the Missouri artist:

Several X users suggested that they did not like the idea of hiding the face, as being on Hot Ones is all about showing expressions, and with a mask on, the fun part will be missed.
"Why did she do this, the fun of hot ones is seeing the expression in their eyes as they squirm," one user wrote.

During an interview with Variety in August 2023, SZA hinted at her forthcoming album and revealed the reason behind the title. The singer suggested that the title Lana is from her name, Solána, and it was also her first tattoo when she was 13.
"I added a couple of songs. It's like a whole new project. "It's called 'Lana' — my name but it's the first tattoo that I ever got when I was 13. It was 10 bucks a letter and I only had 40, so that that became my nickname for no reason," the singer revealed.
Solána Imani Rowe performed one of her songs from Lana at the 2024 Grammy Awards. However, the artist has not revealed Lana's tracklist or possible release date yet.
