Country superstar Jason Aldean has spoken out in admiration of fellow artist Carrie Underwood’s performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration.
On January 21, 2025, during an interview with Fox News’ Fox & Friends, American country artist Jason Aldean reflected on Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony held on January 20, 2025.
Jason Aldean applauded Carrie Underwood, who delivered a performance at the event without musical accompaniment due to technical issues.
"That’s a big move and that’s a pro move on her part, so I thought it was great," Aldean said.
The ceremony marked the commencement of Donald Trump’s presidency after his victory in the November 2024 election.

During the interview, Aldean highlighted how difficult it can be to perform when technical issues arise.
"First of all, it’s a hard song to do anyway. When you’re supposed to be singing to a track and that’s what gives you pitch reference for the song and to not have that and for her to just kinda say, ‘All right, listen, we’ll go,’" Jason Aldean said.
Carrie Underwood, an American Idol winner, attended the event wearing an Opificio Modenese dress paired with INGILIZ heels. She was invited to perform America the Beautiful, accompanied by The Armed Forces Chorus and The United States Naval Academy Glee Club.
However, due to a technical glitch, Underwood chose to sing a cappella for the crowd gathered at the venue.
According to Billboard, prior to the event, Underwood expressed her honor in being invited to perform at such a historic occasion.
"I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future," Underwood said.
Jason Aldean also shared his thoughts on Donald Trump’s return to the White House, describing it as a moment of relief for many.
He acknowledged the challenges of being vocal about political opinions, particularly over the past four years, and reflected on discussions with his wife, Brittany Aldean, regarding the country’s state of affairs.
"I do feel a bit vindicated. My wife and I talk about this all the time... To have President Trump back in office, I think it gives everyone a sense of relief for a lot of people," Aldean said.
Reflecting on his participation in the inauguration, Jason Aldean shared how honored he felt to be a part of the event. He acknowledged that each milestone in his career is followed by an even bigger opportunity.
"Everytime I think I’ve done it all …This was a whole different ball game for me. It was just a huge honor to be there and be part of that night. It just kind of feels electric. Everybody is just excited for this new chapter of where we are headed," Aldean said.
As of now, Carrie Underwood has not commented publicly on her performance, nor has Donald Trump addressed the technical glitch.
