J. Cole and Tems have collaborated on a single titled Free Fall, which was included in the latter's debut album Born in the Wild. The project came out on June 7, 2024, and the lyrics sung by Cole on Free Fall have grabbed the attention of the fans.

Tems has also served as the producer alongside GuiltyBeatz, Sarz, Spax, London, and DameDame. The main theme of Free Fall is love and regret and J. Cole's lyrics initially stated:
