As the YSL RICO trial continues, a recent interaction between Young Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel, and Kenneth “Woody” Copeland sparked reactions online. On Tuesday, August 27, Woody returned to the stand to be cross-examined. As the duo discussed a physical assault that took place at a local nightclub, Copeland attempted to make Steel use a racial slur during the court proceedings.

Brian Steel read out loud in the court, “He said, ‘Listen, the N would give me money,” to which Woody asked him, “What is N?” Steel attempted to clarify by spelling “N-I-G.” He then took a dramatic pause to say “G” again. Woody then replied,

“Oh! N----”

Some other reactions read:

“Woody is my new superhero,” one X user said.
“I fell out of my chair,” another platform user commented.
“You can’t make this up, it’s like watching male bonding. Steel is Freakin Woody out,” another internet user said.

Kenneth Copeland has been at the center of controversy as Young Thug’s lawyers believe that the trial’s original judge, Ural Glanville, coerced him into testifying in June. In past interrogations, Copeland admitted to lying about Young Thug committing crimes. Meanwhile, other reactions to the courtroom moment read:

“There has to be odds in Vegas or something on whether Woody will clear this trial without going back to jail,” another internet user stated online.
“Bruh I just took a sip of water while watching this and spit it out all over the place,” another platform user said.

As the YSL RICO trial continues, it has been recorded as the longest trial in Georgia's history. If Young Thug is convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison. He currently maintains his innocence.

Meanwhile, other reactions to the viral video read:

“Get that man off the stand,” an X user said.
“We in a simulation,” another netizen commented.

What happened in the recent YSL Young Thug RICO trial? Details revealed as courtroom moment goes viral

In the courtroom, Copeland testified he would simply tell the police what he thought they wanted to hear. While admitting to blaming Young Thug for committing several crimes, he said,

“I made it all up. I put everything on Thug. That man ain’t have nothing to stupidity. I’m sitting right here telling y’all the truth... The police kept locking me up for whatever they could."

He continued,

Every time I counted the door, the police was on me, and they keep bringing up Thug’s name. So what I did was to get ‘em off of me, I said, "Thug did this. Thug did that.” Thug because I knew they were—I knew he didn’t do it.”

Kenneth Copeland was arrested on June 7 and held in contempt after he refused to testify in court. Prosecutors later told him that if he continued to ignore his court appearance, he would be imprisoned until every defendant had their cases decided. He eventually appeared in court.
