Juvenile publicly called out American Airlines after flight attendants on his plane to Dallas allegedly tried to move him and his wife from first class to coach. The rapper, who documented the ordeal on an Instagram Live session on August 21, 2024, was heard saying the flight attendants were disrespectful and that he would rather get off the plane than abandon his first-class seats.
"I’m a celebrity. I'm telling you this is going to be repercussions. It's going be repercussions to this because I'm going to get off the plane. I'm going to get off the plane. I'm not going to let y'all disrespect me like that. I'm not going to let y'all choose me out of all the people on the plane and disrespect me. So I'm going to get off the plane," he said.
As the video of the incident circulated on social media, many criticized American Airlines for trying to shift him to a cheaper seat, calling the airline company disrespectful.
Many claimed the incident was discrimination, alleging the staff were targeting Juvenile because he was black.
Others praised his wife for sticking by his side after the attendant informed her she would be allowed to stay in first class. However, some netizens also commented they did not know the full story to support Juvenile.
