"The fall off will be documented"— Netizens react to Drake being booed at a Limp Bizkit concert

Drake got a special mention during the Limp Bizkit concert in Toronto on Wednesday, July 24, but fans were less than enthusiastic about the Canadian rapper.

During the band's concert at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto as part of their Loserville Tour, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst made a shoutout to the rapper who happened to be watching the concert. He mentioned that the rapper is watching their performance at the side of the stage, saying:

"Did you know Drake's here tonight?"

However, shortly after Durst mentioned the Canadian rapper, Limp Bizkit fans were heard booing, which shocked the band's frontman.

Confused, he responded to the audible boos of the concertgoers:

"I thought Drake was your homie? What? No?"

The singer proceeded to tell the audience that he thought the rapper was their homie which only elicited more booing from the crowd.

The whole ordeal was captured in a video by one fan who went to the concert, which quickly made rounds on social media, and netizens were just as quick to comment about the less enthusiastic response the rapper got during the Limp Bizkit concert.

Some netizens found it funny that the incident happened in Toronto of all places, because it's where the rapper grew up.

"I wasn't expect[ing] them to like him but it's still funny that it happened in Toronto," an X user wrote.

"That's sad that they boo Drake in his own hometown bunch of haters man," another netizen commented.

"I thought they loved him in Canada I guess not," another X user chimed in.

However, some people were less shocked that the Canadian rapper was getting booed, especially from Limp Bizkit fans, which netizens pointed out is from a different era or generation of people.

"It's a 40-50 year old crowd full of white male rock fans, Of course they don't like Drake," a commenter on X said.

"Limo Bizkit has a very particular fan base and in sure 99% of them do no care for rappers," another one pointed out.

Limp Bizkit fans aren't the only ones giving the Canadian rapper the cold shoulder lately. Musicians and other rappers are also taking a hit to the God's Plan artist, with the most recent being Soulja Boy.

The Crank That rapper famously went viral in 2019 after he accused Drake of stealing his "lyrical flow," claiming that he taught him everything he knows. But more recently, he reacted to the Canadian rapper's Super Soak song with Lil Yachty, which is supposedly another diss track.

When the track was previewed during Kai Cenat's livestream, Soulja Boy quickly hopped on his Instagram Live on Friday, July 26, to comment and issue a warning to the Canadian rapper. At one point, he said in the video that he was telling him some "gangsta sh*t," and that it would be his first and only warning to the fellow rapper.
