A clip of American rapper Gucci Mane has surfaced on the internet, in which he could be seen roaming around in the streets of Milan. On the post of a video clip uploaded by an account 'The Extreme Music Enthusiast' through their X account, the caption read:
"It's wild that Gucci Mane can stroll through the streets of Milan without anyone recognizing him."
In the video, as Mane was walking along the streets, nobody seemed to have recognised him or bothered him. This made social media users flood the internet with their remarks. Here are some of the responses on the matter:
Many users claimed that it was natural for most people to recognize him, if they weren't much into hip-hop culture. One netizen asked:
"Okay. I'll bite. Who's Gucci Mane?"
"Its not wild at all. You live in a bubble and the rest of the world isnt in there," wrote another user.
"He’s not that popular outside the US lmao. The only black popular artists outside the US are Akon, 50 cent, Kanye West and Travis Scott," added another X user.
All the reactions in the comment section of the above clip were of the same take that it was not unnatural for the people in Milan to not know Mane. Others even claimed that many people in the US wouldn't recognize him as well. One user commented:
"Tbh I wouldn’t recognize him here in the US."
"I’m an American and don’t know who he is," commented another netizen.
"This ain't 2018 son. No one knows Gucci," mentioned another user.
Gucci Mane has recently dropped his new mixtape on Friday
Rapper Gucci Mane had dropped his latest mixtape titled Greatest Of All Trappers (Gangsta Grillz Edition), on Friday. Apart from Mane, DJ Drama had also been featured on the mixtape. The mixtape reportedly started with an interview with retired NASCAR driver Mark Martin, earlier this year, in which Martin explained that he was a big fan of Mane.
While Drama and Mane had collaborated in several projects over the years, they launched a mixtape together for the first time after officially dropping The Movie (Gangsta Grillz) back in 2008. In another post that Mane uploaded on his Instagram account before releasing the mixtape, he wrote in the caption,
"This is not a joke and I don’t know if it kicked in yet!! But I’m dropping a classic for my real Gucci fans tonite!! #GreatestOfAllTrappers 🥶🥶 let’s goooooooooo"
In the mixtape released in 2008, a verse of Nicki Minaj was also included. The verse was, however, finally removed since Minaj wasn't a well-known name at that time. DJ Drama revealed the same in an interview with Bootleg Kev last year in March. Drama further confirmed that while he decided to remove Minaj's verse then, he regretted the decision later.
Fans are now excited to listen to Gucci Mane's new mixtape that was released on Friday.
