Hailey Bieber announced that her company Rhode will be contributing 1% of all the sales towards the LA fire. Apart from this, Hailey also announced that her beauty brand has also “committed $1 million to support local organizations providing emergency cash payments” to those affected by the wildfires.

Releasing a statement on January 17, 2025, through Instagram, Hailey Bieber and Rhode Beauty stated:

“Throughout January and February, we will also allocate our ongoing 1% of all sales from RFF to this relief effort. The road to recovery will be long, and we’re here to continue investing in organizations providing much-needed relief.”

In the same post, Rhode Beauty also discussed their “initial partners,” such as LIFT LA, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, Pandemic of Love, Mothers Rising for Guaranteed, and even the birthFUND Displaces Pregnant and Postpartum Families Program.

As the news about Hailey Bieber’s contribution towards the affected in the LA wildfire reached the masses, several netizens poured in their comments and reactions. An X user, @HBieberDaily posted about the same on the platform, to which several social media users responded negatively.

Other internet users compared Hailey Bieber with other pop stars like Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift, as they wrote:

“Then there’s Selena who donated 100% of global sales on october 10th to increase access to mental health services and education to the youth. On top of that actually donating to the people affected by the fires. But yeah she’s still gonna get hate,” commented one social media user.

“And yall say Taylor Swift is greedy....” added one more.

“Ohtani gave 25% of his salary and she is only giving 1% of sales,” exclaimed another user.

Furthermore, several others also called the decision by Hailey Bieber “ridiculous,” as netizens felt that 1% of the total sales was not enough of a contribution.

As Hailey Bieber announced her financial support, several netizens started talking about the many celebrities contributing towards helping the affected due to the LA wildfires. While many celebrities like Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Anna Faris, etc. lost their homes, others like Beyonce, Eva Longoria, and even Jamie Lee Curtis donated to the cause generously.

Beyoncé announced her contribution of $2.5 million through an Instagram post, and stated how she donated the fund to “aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

Thereafter, Jamie Lee Curtis also announced $1 million to the relief as she appeared on a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Eva Longoria also donated a sum of $50,000 to This Is About Humanity to help the families who have been left with burned houses.
