On Tuesday, July 23, Drake took to his Instagram Story to share a picture of himself wearing baggy jeans and green shoes and showed off his Tupac Shakur T-shirt, which read, “Only God Can Judge Me.”
This comes after his feud with Kendrick Lamar, who has frequently expressed his love for Tupac. During the rap beef, Lamar dissed Drizzy for using Tupac’s vocals through AI assistance in his Taylor Made Freestyle song. K. Dot also dissed Drake for owning a ring that belonged to Tupac.
Evidently, the late artist has played a big role in the feud between K. Dot and Drake. Many believed that Drake was hinting at something towards Kendrick Lamar with his latest Instagram Story. A few reactions to the outfit read:
“Tupac ain’t proud of you bro… he would’ve clapped back after getting cooked,” another internet user said.
“Bro just disrespecting pac any chance he gets,” a platform user said.
Rumors of Drake also owning the BMW car Tupac was shot in went viral this month; however, the claims are not real. Meanwhile, other reactions read:
“All he can do is troll at this point. Do the trolls little buddy cuz you got cooked when it came to rapping,” an internet user said.
“Bro disrespecting the elders…,” an X user said.
Not many were pleased to see Champagne Papi sport his Tupac T-shirt. Some more comments read:
“Boy really needs to MOVE on…,” a netizen said.
“2Pac does not fw bro,” a platform user said.
“Bro wants to troll kendrick so bad. We are witnessing the downfall of Drake,” another internet user said.
Everything to know about Tupac’s involvement in the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud
For those uninitiated, Drizzy owns a ring once worn by Tupac. He reportedly acquired it through a Sotheby’s auction for $1,016,000 in July 2023. This again made headlines in April after Kendrick Lamar rapped in his Euphoria diss track that he wanted the jewelry piece.
“Somebody had told me that you got a ring, on God, I’m ready to double the wage. I’d rather do that than let a Canadian n**ga make Pac turn in his grave,” K. Dot rapped.
K. Dot also referred to 2Pac in his Not Like Us Drizzy-diss track by singing,
“You think the Bay ‘gon let you disrespect ‘Pac, n**ga? I think that Oakland show gon’ be your last stop, n**ga.”
After Drizzy reportedly used Tupac’s voice in Taylor Made Freestyle, he received a cease-and-desist from the latter’s estate. A legal notice sent to him read:
“Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use.”
It is worth noting that it remains unclear whether Drizzy’s latest Instagram Story was directed at K. Dot due to their feud.
