Outta Da Blue is a two-and-a-half-minute track produced by Dr. Dre alongside BoogzDaBeast, Dem Jointz, and FNZ featuring Alus, which samples M.I.A’s Paper Planes on the chorus:

"Maybe I'm just tryna get high (Smoking the legendary)/ Thighs high, open them wide (Something like missionary)/ Mind if I pull up with a few? (We can arrange that)/ Pennies dropping outta da blue (You know I bang that),"

Snoop raps in the first verse:

"Bottles and bi***s, believe we back in business / The sh** I be smoking is highly recommended / This for all of my ni**as pushing the limit“.

In the second verse, Dr. Dre talks about how far he’s come in the music industry:

"Yeah, I been around the world and I-I-I: Ain't seen a mutherf***ing thing that I can't buy/ See, reaching these types of heights, it come with a third eye/ I'm better at betting on me, the numbers don't lie,"

Outta Da Blue follows after the first single of the album, Gorgeous, released on November 1. The track features Jhene Aiko and debuted at number 29 on the Billboard R&B/ Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Missionary marks Snoop and Dre’s first collaboration since the critically acclaimed Doggystyle album of 1993.

Missionary is set to be released on December 13, 2024, and the duo has teased fans what to expect during interviews. In an August 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dre revealed that Sting from the Police band would be featured on the album.

Other artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, and Method Man, have also been reported to feature on the album. The Nuthin’ But a “G” Thang hitmaker stated during the interview that Missionary was going to show a more mature side of himself and Snoop and referred to the album as one of the best music projects of his career.

Missionary is Snoop's 20th studio album set to be released by Death Row Records, Aftermath Entertainment, and Interscope Records.
