Britpop band Oasis fans have faced frustration while trying to secure tickets for the band's reunion shows in 2025. On August 31, 2024, a spokesperson for Ticketmaster issued an update on the situation to LADbible, saying:

"The queue is moving along as fans buy tickets. As anticipated, millions of fans are accessing our site so have been placed in a queue. Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they're only using one tab, clear cookies, and ensure they aren't using any VPN software on their device."

The update comes after fans were met with error messages and lengthy queues along with thousands of other people on August 30 as they attempted to book tickets for the band's 17 gigs in Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin starting July 4, 2025. Fans also accused the website of crashing and posted a screenshot of Error 503 messages on social media platforms.

As per CBS News, more than 1 million tickets are up for sale, starting from under $100. However, as fans waited in queues on Ticketmaster, some tickets appeared on resale websites for as much as $7,800.

In response to the ticketing issues, the band, led by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, issued a statement on X on August 31, alerting fans that tickets could only be sold at face value on authorized sites:

"Please note, Oasis Live ‘25 tickets can only be resold at face value via @TicketmasterUK and @Twickets ! Tickets appearing on other secondary ticketing sites are either counterfeit or will be cancelled by the promoters."

More about Oasis's reunion show

UK's most beloved pop band, Oasis, is reuniting after 15 years of their split up. Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis led the pop culture scene in Britain with hits like Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger.

The group split up after band member Noel Gallagher officially left the band before a Paris performance, and the two brothers continued to have a strained relationship. The remaining members of the band continued under a new name, "Beady Eye," before disbanding in 2014.

In 2009, Noel issued a statement saying:

"People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam any longer."

In a 2011 interview with the Associated Press, Noel revealed what led to his exit from the band. He recalled that his brother Liam began waving his guitar around "like an axe" and said, "he kind of you know, he took my face off with it, you know?"

However, nine years later, Liam, while speaking to the Associated Press, noted that he was ready to reconcile since the most important thing was about him and Noel "being brothers." Liam also mentioned that while Noel believed that he was desperate to bring the band back together for money, that was not the case.

On August 18, Oasis posted a video on their social media accounts with the date "27.08.24" and time "8 a.m." hinting at a reunion and sending fans into a frenzy.
