Drake has announced a new collaborative album with PartyNextDoor while appearing on the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada, on August 2, 2024, during the latter's Party and Friends show. The rapper's announcement has sparked excitement among fans, as exemplified by the tweet:
Fans expressed their excitement on X in varying degrees, with some stating that the rapper knew what his fans wanted, while others were more lukewarm in their reception and hoped that the album would actually hit the right notes and vibes.

As mentioned above, Drake announced the new collaborative album while appearing at a PartyNextDoor concert on Friday. The rapper stated in the announcement:
"On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all. So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you."
No further details have been provided regarding the untitled collaborative album. Drake previously collaborated with PartyNextDoor on a number of singles over the years, starting with Own It and Over Here in 2013.
Then they collaborated on Recognize in 2014, followed by Preach and Wednesday Night Interlude in 2015, and then Come and See Me and Since Way Back in 2016, as well as Loyal in 2019 and Members Only in 2023.
Out of these singles, Recognize and Come and See were the biggest hits, the former charting at number 9 on the Billboard R&B singles chart and the latter at number 5 on the same chart. The latter three singles were also platinum-certified hits in the US.
PartyNextDoor recently released his new studio album, PartyNextDoor 4, on April 26, 2024. The rapper spoke about P4 in an interview with Billboard Magazine published on March 11, 2024, stating:
"I’ll make a full album... I get into relationships and then music becomes second, I think I’m going to take a break from relationships, a long break, and just get back to making music."
PartyNextDoor later added:
"This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album. This is the proudest I’ve felt. I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it."
Meanwhile, Drake released his latest studio album, For All the Dogs, on October 6, 2023, through OVO and Republic Records, respectively. The album has been a commercial success so far, climbing to the top spot on multiple album charts.
For All the Dogs was also certified as a multi-platinum record in Canada since its release and has more than 2 billion streams on Spotify alone, with other streaming platform stream counts also in the billions.
