Oasis fans are optimistic about a band reunion at its 2025 tour after former drummer Alan White posted a picture of a Union Jack-themed drum kit reminiscent of the British band's Don't Look Back in Anger era. The photo, uploaded to Instagram on September 1, 2024, sent fans into a state of anticipation ahead of the 2025 reunion tour, which will see the band perform for the first time in 16 years.

This will be the first time brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher will share a stage since their 2009 performance at the V Festival at Weston Park. Oasis dissolved on August 28, 2009, after an alleged fight between the brothers in which Liam swung Noel's guitar "like an axe."

Alan White's photo on social media was met with hopes of a proper band reunion, with one person commenting:

Alan White joined Oasis in 1995

Alan White replaced original drummer Tony McCarroll in April 1995. This happened a year after the band released its debut album, Definitely Maybe. White was Oasis's official drummer from 1995 to early 2004 for its four studio albums between those years.

He was replaced by Zak Starkey, Ringo Starr's son, after he was reportedly fired from the band in 2004. However, the reason for his firing is unclear. It is unconfirmed whether he will join the band on the reunion tour.

Meanwhile, the original drummer, Tony McCarroll, told MailOnline in August that the band had not contacted him about the reunion tour.

"They haven’t reached out yet and to be honest I’m not holding my breath. Would I consider being involved? I don’t know. At the end of the day I’m not the only ex-member left behind, so I’ll just crack on,” he said.

Oasis's high-anticipated reunion tour came as a surprise on August 27, 2024, with the band announcing 14 stadium tours across five cities in the UK and Ireland between July 4 and August 17, 2025. Three additional tour dates were added, and all venues were sold out within hours.

The tickets opened on August 31, but many were disappointed at the surging cost. Fans noted that standing price tickets, advertised at £135 plus fees, were placed at £355 plus fees "in demand" on Ticketmaster due to dynamic pricing.
